I must admit that back in the day Romeo’s Daughter was one of those bands that largely passed me by; I saw them live once and remember they were pretty good, but back in those days UK bands had it hard competing with the more exotic fare from the Sunset Strip. Of course years later when you revisit the back catalogue you wish you had paid more attention. Romeo’s Daughter was, and on the evidence of this year’s ‘Spin’, is a very decent Melodic Rock band.

If you need evidence it’s all there in the first three tracks: the rocking ‘Touch’ and ‘Already Gone’ and the more subdued sing-along ‘Love Will Come To Those That Wait’: three songs that say all you need to know about the depth and quality of this release.

Chock-full of songs to sing you heart out to  it’s a beautiful set of songs that both take you back and reminisce, but also a vital set for anyone who still loves great melodic rock by a band on fine form and a voice in Leigh Matty that has lost nothing over the years.
