HEALTH Release Electrifying Debut Collaboration ‘ASHAMED’ Feat. Lauren Mayberry (CHVRCHES)

Touring Nationally This July + August.

L.A. industrial-rock band HEALTH have released their debut collaboration with Lauren Mayberry (CHVRCHES), a stunning and haunting reworking of ASHAMED from their critically acclaimed latest album RAT WARS (Loma Vista Recordings). Mayberry’s unmistakable vocals take the reins on two verses, seamlessly blending with HEALTH singer Jake Duzsik as their harmonies elevate the sweeping, electro-goth track to even greater emotional heights. The collaboration is one of HEALTH‘s most captivating tracks to date and sets yet another high bar for their music.

On Tuesday, KEXP released HEALTH’s exhilarating ‘Live on KEXP’ session showcasing RAT WARS tracks UNLOVED and ASHAMED, as well as the Cyberpunk 2077 original Major Crimes and their Deftones cover, Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away). The trio of Duzsik, John “Johnny” Famiglietti, and BJ Miller will next embark on a European tour of festivals and headlining dates on June 14, including Roadburn, Download Festival XX1, Tons of Rock, and more. Later this year, they’ll play Chicago’s Riot Fest and Louisville’s Louder Than Life festival, before they head back to Europe for more headlining shows.

Their RAT-BASED WARFARE TOUR :: DOWN UNDER Australian headline tour starts at the end of July with special guests Zheani, Joshua Wells & Karina Utomo. Tickets are selling fast for the Adelaide show while all other shows are sold out.

HEALTH’s long and willfully unconventional career arc has coalesced in RAT WARS, their acclaimed 2023 album (Loma Vista Recordings) that cements them in the lineage of ground-breaking heavy acts like Nine Inch Nails and Ministry, who re-drew the borders between metal, electronic and pop music. It could be The Downward Spiral for people with at least two monitors and a vitamin D deficiency. Released digitally in December, and produced by Stint (Oliver Tree, Demi Lovato) and mixed by Lars Stalfors (SALEM, The Neighbourhood), RAT WARS is now HEALTH’s highest streaming album, with 24 million global streams to date. Their fifth LP also debuted at #1 on Apple’s Alternative Top Albums Chart and in the Top 10 of Spotify’s Top Albums Chart, while earning the trio cover stories at Revolver, Kerrang!, and Fuze, as well as guest appearances on Amoeba’s What’s In My Bag, Alternative Press’ Artist Friendly podcast, Comedy Bang Bang’s CBB.FM, Loudwire’s Loudwire Nights, Songwriters on Process, Joe Pug’s The Working Songwriter, and more. RAT WARS ended the year on ‘Best Albums of 2023’ lists by Revolver, Alternative Press, New York Magazine/Vulture, MXDWN (#1 Album of 2023), Heavy Consequence, Uproxx, and FLOOD Magazine, among others. Earlier this week, album track HATEFUL won the ‘Best Record From Games and Interactive Media’ category at A2IM’s 2024 Libera Awards for its appearance in the hit video game ULTRAKILL.

2024 is shaping up to be HEALTH‘s busiest year to date. Metal legends Lamb of God, whose guitarist Willie Adler is featured on the menacing RAT WARS track CHILDREN OF SORROW, just announced they will once again team up with HEALTH for a new remix of their track Laid To Rest on their Ashes Of The Wake (20th Anniversary Edition) LP due out August 30, via Epic Records/Legacy Recordings. In April, HEALTH released their first collaboration with chart-topping rock band Bad Omens and electronic sensation SWARM on another powerhouse track, THE DRAIN, from Bad OmensCONCRETE JUNGLE [THE OST] (Sumerian Records). A ‘SELECTED WORKS’ Thematic Album Compilation playlist, featuring the band’s most beloved tracks, was also recently released across all DSPs. In February, HEALTH’s installment for Spotify Singles–a darkly vibrant reworking of Deftones’ classic Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)–debuted just ahead of their headlining ‘RAT-BASED WARFARE TOUR’ that saw sold-out shows Los Angeles, Chicago, Austin, Portland, Toronto, Seattle, and San Francisco, among others.
