UNFD is excited to announce the signing of alternative band Easy Life to its ever-growing roster. To coincide with the announcement, Easy Life have released their lush single “I’m Fading Away”, which triple j’s Dom Alessio declared: “this is powerful and thunderous; a stormy twist on melodic hardcore”.
Frontman Max Pasalic says “I’m Fading Away” is a raw and real snapshot of his life: “The song is hallmark of the most vulnerable I’ve ever felt in my life. It’s an ode to the fear we all feel when we meet new situations. Ultimately, we all have a choice to embrace the fear, or erase it.
“We’ve been given the platform to spread our music to more listeners than ever thanks to the opportunities UNFD have given us,” he continues. “The team have been nothing but welcoming and we are beyond thankful to be working alongside not only some renowned bands, but a dedicated and knowledgeable organisation.”
Born and bred in Shellharbour, NSW, Easy Life is a collage of the emotions and anxieties that follow life in a small town. Coming together in their high school music class, Easy Life is fuelled by ambition and angst and carried by a dark and aggressive soundtrack tinged with emotion that takes pride of place next to the likes of Citizen, Basement and Title Fight on the vinyl shelf.
In their short time together, Easy Life have found a home on triple j Unearthed Radio with an Artist Spotlight and “I’m Fading Away” added to rotation. The band has also seen some love on the wider triple j network.
Next month Easy Life will head up to BIGSOUND 2017 to play a showcase at Crowbar on September 5, with more tour dates to be announced shortly.
