Perth psych rockers Datura4 have just dropped a new video for the single ‘Greedy World’ ahead of their much-anticipated shows in NSW and Victoria this March. The tour will give East coast audiences their first taste of the new album which builds on Datura4’s ‘guitars to infinity’ approach and celebrates an unbridled joy of Rock ‘N’ Roll. Greedy World is the 2nd single from the band’s recent album ‘Hairy Mountain’ which is out through Alive NaturalSound Records.
“It’s full tilt boogie stomp that was written before the recent turn of political events, Greedy World offers up satirical observations and commentary on the current state of the world.
Greg Hitchcock (guitar and vocals) sums up the vibe of the track and video, conceived in collaboration with WA whiz kid director Sam Tout:
A world where material pursuit and the cult of the individual rules, obsessed by possessions and with total disregard for humanity and the environment.
A world where billionaires rule and wealth is looked upon as the epitome of success, and like a bad movie – where the greediest narcissist on the planet is the leader of the so called free world!”
