Melbourne based touring, bookings and management company Wild Thing Presents is proud to announce the signing of renowned Sydney guitar tech-metal virtuoso James Norbert Ivanyi to their ever-evolving bookings roster.
Ivanyi slots in with an already outstanding and diverse roster, which includes Caligula’s Horse, Circles, Chaos Divine, AlithiA, Orsome Welles, Dyssidia and Glass Ocean.
James Norbert Ivanyi is a freakishly talented multi-instrumentalist, producer and musician. Hailing from Sydney, James has performed and toured with a diverse range of musicians and bands for many years before deciding to go solo in 2013.
He has since released three internationally acclaimed instrumental EPs Aphasia (2013), The Matter Circumvention (2015) and The Usurper (2016) – and is currently working on his fourth EP, due for release in 2017.
Ivanyi is considered by his fans, peers and industry to be one of the most original, commanding and versatile young guitarists on the scene today.
His unique style of technical modern metal, fused with the classic sounds of 1960’s and 1970’s progressive rock music has seen his fan base transcend generations and genres.
Taking his own brand of metal overseas, Ivanyi has been invited to perform several times in the United States at the Suhr Factory NAMM party. In addition, Ivanyi toured Australia in support of The Usurper including a successful co-headling tour with I Built The Sky, supporting Soilwork and Katatonia, plus a national run with Circles (Melbourne). In January 2017, James performed at the first annual ‘The Guitar Collective 2017’ showcase in Los Angeles, alongside Dan Sugarman, Nili Brosh, Yvette Young, Felix Martin & Angel Vivaldi.
James has already had a very busy year with the completion of a brand new EP, several notable recording projects – including being featured on the upcoming Scale The Summit record alongside John Browne (Monuments) Scott Carstairs (Fallujah), Nick Johnston, Jeff Loomis, Nathan Navarro, Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry), Angel Vivaldi & Yvette Young (Covet), performing in the United States and attending NAMM.
To cap this off, Ivanyi has recently been confirmed to perform in the United Kingdom at UK TECH-FEST in July!
James is endorsed by Suhr Guitars, Friedman Amplification, Fractal Audio, Diamond Pedals, D’addario Strings & Planet Waves and Swiss Picks
