Lagerstein make way for Australia after successfully completing the epic 8 month voyage, conquering 97 taverns and 97 stages this year through Europe, with sights keenly set on their final Australian Tour of the year.
The Aussie brigands Lagerstein have taken to the sea with eyes firmly set on Australia, bringing their most powerful and biggest show to date back to their homeland. In March the seven piece crew packed bags for 8 months, coming to Europe with a simple plan – to taste as many beers, and party on as many stages as possible.
With six headlining tours and a string of festival appearances under their belts, Lagerstein have left their mark on Europe, graciously reminding our Northern brethren that Australia breeds the greatest party animals around. They join the ranks of not just an increasingly large number of Aussie metal artists breaking away from native shores, but continue the trend of tackling the music industry with a fresh eye. Melbourne heavy weights Ne Obliviscaris have often argued the need for change in the music industry and would be proud, with the Brisbane pirates continue this trend. From the opportunities found in the internet and social media to connect people worldwide, Lagerstein seek to push the limits of what is possible as an independent band; solely having booked, promoted and performed on 97 stages across fourteen countries this year. This has not been through lack of opportunity, but is born out of belief that success in the modern music industry requires the audacity to shape one’s own career, not to wait hoping for some golden deal.
Their upcoming tour ‘Lagerstein On Ice’ sees sights set forward. Taking a years’ worth of experience voyaging across Europe, Lagerstein are set to destroy the stages of Australia, delivering the most outrageous parties of their career this December. With dates in Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne, this ramshackle crew deliver a single promise, to show every pirate and wench the best party of their life! Party times ahoy!
