Many words come to mind when you hear the name Cannibal Corpse, but one truly defines the soon-to-be thirty-year death metal veterans: Unstoppable. Produced by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Goatwhore), Red Before Black serves to not only reiterate this but to once more raise the stakes, making it very clear who sets the standard when it comes to always compelling music that is equally brutal and complex. Moreover, the band have pushed themselves again, ensuring that it stands out from their catalog. “Throughout our career we’ve tried to improve the precision of both our musical execution and our album production, while still maintaining full-on aggression. ‘Red Before Black’ continues in that direction, but might go even further on the aggressive side of things. It’s definitely precise, but it has a rawness to it that goes beyond anything we’ve done recently,” asserts bassist Alex Webster. “We really worked super hard crafting these songs, practicing them, and getting them where we wanted to be more so than on any of our previous albums,” adds drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz. “And as Alex said, musically I think it’s the most raw sound we’ve had – and at the same time I think it’s our most focused, tightest and catchiest record.”

Attention Human Scum! Only five days remain until GWAR unleashes their new masterpiece The Blood of Gods to the masses!

So far your ear holes have been devastated by the blistering sounds of “Fuck This Place” and “El Presidente.” Today your Alien Overlords are set to take it to a new level with the release of their latest sonic triumph: “I’ll Be Your Monster”.

Listen to it here

“This record is gonna knock your socks off. I mean, I don’t have feet, but I think that’s a thing. It rocks! It is quite simply, the best collection of recorded music in the history of the world. Buy it. It will leave you feeling guilty and emotionally drained, but it feels good while you listen to it. I promise,” says The Berserker Blothar.

GWAR’s new album is being hailed by critics as the greatest sonic event since the Big Bang. The Blood of Gods chronicles the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that oppose them. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of humanity from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are: a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry!

Having released his latest full-length, Inverted Grasp of Balance, last year via Metal Blade Records, Monte Pittman is now launching a new video for the album track, “New Blood Keeps Us Alive” (by Travis Colbert:.

Watch it here

Monte Pittman comments: “I discovered the Bravo Tip Or Pay app from performing for the Ultimate Jam Night at the Whisky A Go Go. I think it’s something that could change every musicians’ life. I’ve been selling tickets to my shows and selling merchandise at shows using their app. They’ve been coming with me on some shows and brought along Travis Colbert to film content. While in New York, I was sitting around playing my acoustic where we were staying and Travis started filming me. He said, ‘We could make a video’. Once I saw what he filmed, we immediately started filming the ‘New Blood Keeps Us Alive’ video since that’s the only track that has acoustic guitar on it. We have been filming for more videos coming out soon also.”

There are great guitarists, great vocalists and great songwriters, but Monte Pittman is one of the elite few who can truly lay claim to all three titles. With his fourth full-length, Inverted Grasp of Balance, he has once again raised the stakes, delivering a riveting collection of full force metal that showcases his continuing evolution, undoubtedly expanding his devout – and ravenous – fan base. The record also features powerhouse drummer Richard Christy of Charred Walls Of The Damned/Iced Earth/Death fame and virtuoso bassist Billy Sheehan, famous for his work with a plethora of talented artists – including David Lee Roth, Mr. Big and, more recently, Winery Dogs. The skill of all concerned explodes from the speakers!

Swedish heavy metallers RAM will release their striking new album, Rod, on November 3rd via Metal Blade Records!
In anticipation of this release, RAM have now unleashed a full production video for the 2nd single, “On Wings Of No Return”, which can be viewed below.

RAM comments: “We assembled the same team that worked on the ‘Flame of the Tyrants’ video, to present this macabre tale of unhealthy fandom, the countryside, digestion of biohazardous waste, chainsaws and family! The song is another RAM neckbreaker that we are certain will become a live classic!”

RAM comments about Rod: “We are very proud to release our fifth studio album entitled ‘Rod’. On this album for the first time ever we wrote a conceptual story over 6 songs, something that we always wanted to do but never got right. This album contains probably our most epic moments to date but it is still definitely Heavy Metal Tyranny!”

Rod track-listing
1. Declaration of Independence
2. On Wings of No Return
3. Gulag
4. A Throne at Midnight
5. Ramrod the Destroyer, Pt. 1: Anno Infinitus
