In its first week, Dimevision Vol 2 has debuted at #3 on the Top DVD Music Video chart!
Rita Haney says, “We just want to thank each and every one of you for getting behind ‘Dimevision 2’ and supporting its release…of course we’re #3…wouldn’t be right if it wasn’t Dime time! Darrell would be so stoked knowing you guys are all out there blowin’ it up Dime-style! Watch It Go!”
Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over is a true celebration of Dimebag and how he lived his life. The DVD/CD set – which includes more footage, true gems and classic moments – also includes five previously unreleased demos, picked from a vast catalog Dimebag accrued since longtime girlfriend Rita Haney gave him his first 4-track in 1984. Dimebag’s personally-written lyrics, dates and notes on those tracks are also included.
Dimevision Vol 2 continues in the same vein as Dimevision Vol 1 with the inclusion of hilarious video segments that will bring back great memories for any fan of Dimebag Darrell and his bands. Check out two other exclusive clips revealed from the set, the first including a very interesting CPAP machine fitting clip, and another showcasing a few of Dime’s favorite costumes and props available on the PledgeMusic page. Hurry, items are going fast!
Going into making Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over, Rita Haney worked in collaboration with Daryl “Bobby Tongs” Arnberger, who was not only one of Dimebag’s closest friends both on and off the road, but also worked as an official videographer for Pantera, Damageplan and a plethora of A-list musicians, from Slipknot to Dolly Parton, along with film editor Rob Fenn. After cataloging hundreds of tapes, they chose 43 segments to create Dimevision Vol. 2.

On February 9th, Harm’s Way will release their new album, Posthuman. Having grown with each subsequent release, Posthuman, the band’s fourth full-length – and Metal Blade Records debut – is a devastating addition to their catalog. “We’ve always stayed true to who we are and allowed the songwriting process to take shape organically from record to record, and as the band has progressed, our sound has become more refined with metal and industrial influences,” states drummer Chris Mills, while guitarist Bo Lueders succinctly sums up what people can expect when they first spin the record: “To a Harms Way fan, I would describe ‘Posthuman’ as a blend of ‘Isolation'(2011) and ‘Rust’ (2015), but it’s sonically way more insane. To anyone else, I would simply say it’s full on heavy and full on aggression.”
For a first preview of Posthuman, the single “Human Carrying Capacity” can be streamed at:

With producer Putney overseeing the tracking at Graphic Nature Audio in Belleville, New Jersey, Posthuman came together easily and fluidly. Having three weeks to track it – the longest they have ever spent on a single full-length – was definitely beneficial. “We spent the first three days there doing pre-production and refining the songs to be the best possible versions of themselves,” says Mills. “The amount of time we had in creating this record meant we were able to experiment and not have to rush with any aspect of it, and I feel it shows in the end product.” The title, Posthuman, aptly summarizes the themes of the record, reflecting a sense of not feeling like a part of the world anymore, whether that be politically, socially, ethically, or emotionally. “It very much pulls from ideas of transcendence, progression, and resilience”, Mills elaborates, “and it’s very much a push back on traditional ideas of the self and self-actualization. ‘Posthuman’ to us is about progressing above and beyond the confines of what is considered human, in the physical, psychological, and categorical sense.”

Doomsters Hamferð from the Faroe Islands will release their new album, Tamsins likam, on January 12th via Metal Blade Records!
In anticipation of the release, the band has now launched a video for the second single, “Frosthvarv”, which can be viewed HERE.
Hamferð comments: “For years we have been working towards using video material to bring a visual aspect to our music. But not until now have we been able to produce something with the quality that we always strive for. We are extremely pleased to have found the right group of people to work with, and we believe the result to be something truly special.”

Roughly translated as “Body of the mist”, Tamsins likam is an attempt to create the most intriguing, honest and unique Hamferð experience yet. It is nothing less than a pinnacle; a culmination of many years of refining both sound and songwriting, spearheaded by a strong desire to keep progressing and expanding. This has resulted in an album bustling with elements ancient and familiar, violent and strange, earthen and spectral – all the while fiercely seeking to surprise and move the listener.
Once again recorded in Studio Bloch in the Faroe Islands, but this time mixed by the legendary Swedish sound wizard Daniel Bergstrand in his Dugout Productions studio, Tamsins likam exhibits a rawer and more mature version of the known Hamferð sound. The somewhat harsh and bare soundscape deliberately contrasts with the refined compositions, while at the same time aligning with the increasingly honest and violent lyrical content.
“Faroese doom metal” is a powerful sound. Exclusive to this self-styled tag is Hamferð. For a near decade, the funeral dressed sextet has been casting a unique expression rooted in conceptual tragedy and intense, narrative doom metal.
Faroese history and folklore are mixed together with grand atmospheres, a trademark that has earned worldwide attention. Stages at festivals such as Inferno, Midgardsblot, Tuska, Summer Breeze, Wacken and many more have been turned into funerary ceremonies. Touring with bands like Amorphis and Moonsorrow has further garnered the band a respected reputation due to strong yet solemn live performances.
The lyrical and conceptual approach is ambitious in scope. People are drawn to it, even though the band sings in their native tongue, Faroese. With a highly engaging idea concerning lyrics and songwriting, the hour has arrived to close a conceptual trilogy which commenced with the 2010 EP Vilst er siðsta fet, continued with the internationally acclaimed 2013 full-length album Evst, and is now concluded with Tamsins likam.
