SIX FEET UNDER
Launches Guitar and Bass Playthrough Video for Exploratory Homicide

Six Feet Under

On February 24th, Six Feet Under return with their 12th studio album, Torment, and a new leap in intensity.
There’s plenty of classic Six Feet Under groove to be had on Torment, but fans will note a much more aggressive approach, and even more blast beats throughout.
This is a cantankerous Six Feet Under with absolutely nothing to prove. This is Six Feet Under at their most deadly.

To hear the new album track, “Exploratory Homicide”, a guitar and bass playthrough video for the song (by the band’s own Jeff Hughell!) can be viewed here!

Torment was brought to life by Chris Barnes with bassist/guitarist Jeff Hughell (Brain Drill) shouldering the load of writing the music, along with heralded drummer Marco Pitruzzella (Brain Drill, Anomalous, Sleep Terror). The combination of Barnes’ multi-decade death metal experience and the speed and precision of Hughell and Pitruzzella’s relative youth go a long way to cementing this as a solid foundation for high level death metal. Chris Barnes elaborates: “I’ve been lucky to have a lot of standout albums in my career. That’s only because I’ve had a great many talented writing partners and musicians to collaborate with. Our new album, ‘Torment‘, to me, is one of those albums. Jeff Hughell has provided the flammable material for me to write some explosive lyrics and vocal parts to. I know people always say, ‘this is my best album ever’, and I won’t say that, because everyone has their own favorites, but I do enjoy creating new music, and I feel as though with this one we expressed concisely and to the fullest the duality of our music.”

IF THESE TREES COULD TALK
Launch Berlin video
Latest album,
The Bones of a Dying World, becomes best-selling Metal Blade Records Bandcamp release of 2016

If These Trees Could Talk

Instrumental post-rock outfit If These Trees Could Talk has launched a new live video for the track “Berlin”, which is taken from their latest album, The Bones of a Dying World.
Filmed at the Complex in Glendale, CA during their recent tour with
Driftoff, Spotlights, and Alexander Turnquist

“Berlin” can viewed here:

Recorded at NE Meadow Studios in Akron, OH, The Bones of a Dying World was once again produced and engineered by the band’s own Zack Kelly (drums). Mixing duties were handled by Zack Kelly and Freddie DeMarco while the final master was completed by Alan Douches at West West Side Music. For the album artwork, If These Trees Could Talk called upon long-time designer Charlie Wagers, who worked with the band on their past two releases – Above the Earth, Below the Sky (2009) and Red Forest (2012). After four years of fine-tuning these audio and visual components, the quintet unleashed their Metal Blade Records debut upon the music world in 2016 – and the record went on to become the label’s best-selling release of the year on Bandcamp!
