Neon Tetra drop intergalactic ‘Run From The Ruins’ video

Neon Tetra

Neon Tetra have had a busy 2017 releasing singles ‘Telescopes’ and ‘Reflections’ to rave reviews “This sounds like The Beatles kicking it in 2017 with Tame Impala. That’s pretty darn cool”, “That horn section tho! What an interesting, fun jam!”  Triple J Unearthed.  Plus a swag of major supports including The Belligerents, Ecca Vandal and Miami Horror. Their hybrid pop rock grooves have made waves, and now the Adelaide four piece have delivered us their brand spanking new single ‘RUN FROM THE RUINS’

‘Run From The Ruins’ is a fuzzy rock marshmallow, filled with celestial synths, big drums, catchy guitar hooks and the band’s rhythm section locking down the pace with lazy summer feels. The track is full of earthy psychedelic textures crossed with 70s rock tones and an early Strokes x Tame Impala x Led Zeppelin sonic force that hits you right in the groove muscle.

Interstellar travel, alien planets and space dragon battles in this latest space odyssey from Neon Tetra.  The celestial synthesizer patches and lo-fi graphics pair with super basic special effects, leaving an impression of tongue on the cheek. Wait for the dragon battle at the end. Director Mickey Mason of Corduroy Productions collected archive footage from a classic sci fi movie ‘Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women’ adapted from Soviet cinema’s ‘Planeta Bur’ to take you on an intergalactic journey. “Mickey always comes through with the goods on these clips. He just listens to the music and lets his imagination run with the rest, producing incredible concepts” Neon Tetra
