New Found Glory releases new song and music video “20 Years From Now”

New Found Glory

New Found Glory has been taking their “20 Years of Pop Punk” Tour all around the world, recently teasing an unreleased song before their set every night. Today, the band is excited to share the full track and accompanying music video for “20 Years From Now” featuring old home video footage from the Pop-Punk pioneers’ career as well as highlights from this monumental anniversary tour. For an in-depth oral history of the last 2 Decades, fans can head to NYLON who shared, “The glory is as much ours as it is theirs. Pop-punk is alive, it is well, and it is in good hands.” The new video is available below  and the track is streaming on iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify.

On the track, Guitarist Chad Gilbert shares “’20 Years From Now’ is a song we wrote and recorded during the “Makes Me Sick” album sessions. We loved the song and felt it stood out in a different way than the rest so instead of squeezing it on the album, we wanted to give it a life of it’s own. If you have seen us on this recent 20 Years Of Pop Punk tour then you got a first listen as it was our intro to the concert. We have learned so many lessons over the 20 years of this band but the underlining meaning of the song is about letting go of worry to feel true freedom. When you reflect on your life you realize how arguments, pride, and the worry of proving yourself never changed or fixed anything. Failure and missteps help refine your character and make you wiser. All you truly need to worry about is waking up each day and to try to be the best version of yourself. We feel very lucky that when we wake up we still get to be in this band. Thank you for that and we hope you enjoy the song.”

Earlier this Fall, New Found Glory premiered the music video for the island jam “The Sound of Two Voices” exclusively with Billboard. On the track, Billboard shared that the “most un-New Found Glory-sounding song (from Makes Me Sick) was also its best…‘The Sound of Two Voices’ takes some steel drums and a ska-punk backbone, and rolls a fat one for anyone who thinks they’ve seen the last of New Found Glory’s fresh ideas.” The video and an exclusive interview from Guitarist Chad Gilbert are available on Billboard.com.

Over their span of 20 non-stop years in the music industry, New Found Glory have released 9 studio albums, 1 live album, 2 EPs and 3 cover albums. New Found Glory is Jordan Pundik (lead vocals), Chad Gilbert (guitar), Ian Grushka (bass guitar) and Cyrus Bolooki (drums).

Makes Me Sick, the band’s latest full length, which was released earlier this year, experiments with new sounds, techniques and styles for the band. “The Sound of Two Voices” leads the charge in these areas and shows that a band that has been around for 2 decades can still create music as fresh as their first singles. The album landed at the #1 spot on the Record Label Independent Current Albums chart. Additionally, the album secured numerous charting positions including the #2 spot on the Current Alternative Albums, #5 for Top Current Rock Albums and the #39 spot on the Billboard Top 200.
