Perth progressive metallers Nucleust have revealed details for their debut full-length album which will be titled “Terra Cerebral”.
To be released on July 28th through Rockpit Records, the album will feature 8 brand new tracks all written since their last EP “Resistivity” which was released last year. The band took a DIY approach and built a home recording studio with guitarist Max Palizban taking on production duties for the recording while renowned award winning producer Forrester Savell (Twelve Foot Ninja, Karnivool, Birds Of Tokyo) is handling the mixing and mastering. Cover artwork was designed by Nas Ghadiri.
Vocalist Shannon Marston comments on the new songs: “We have pushed ourselves to create what we believe is our most creative and diverse song list whilst still maintaining the sound and style that we have developed. In saying that, there will be a lot of unexpected twists and turns throughout the album but I guess that’s what you would expect from us!”
The first single “Lullaby Paranoia” which will be accompanied by a video will be released shortly and album pre-orders will be made available soon. The band plan to go on tour following the release of the record.
Nucleust most recently won WAM’s heavy metal song of the year award for the track “Of King And Tree” which has gained rave reviews off the back of the “Resistivity” EP and which the video for the song has most notably been broadcast on air during ABC’s cult music program RAGE. The band have previously supported such acts as Twelve Foot Ninja, Lacuna Coil and Soilwork and appeared recently at this year’s Black Open Air Festival in Alice Springs.
