Perth alt rockers BATS deliver a new video for ‘Truthless‘ whichfollow’s the previous singles Tarantula & 24 Hours, which were spun on Triple J, added to Double J, Community radio and Rebel FM.
Truthless is an unrelenting and unhinged guitar driven track that pushes sonic explorations of chaos to the point of obscenity. The title “Truthless” is one half of the forthcoming album release by BATS called
“Truthless Faithless”.
The song is about we, the people being treated as if we are mindless, and being constantly pushed to breaking point by a barrage companies and government agencies spruiking things that are contrary to what the actual truth is.
Kasabian vocals infused with the chaos of Queens of the Stone Age and the guitar distortion of Nine Inch Nails; “Truthless” delivers BATS intense, unrelenting and unhinged signature sound that grips the listener, makes their blood boil and whips them into a frenzy! If you want to scream at the top of your lungs and let off some steam just turn up the volume and listen to this!
BATS make music that they ‘feel’ and must make. They take no interest in what’s on trend or what others are doing. And when it comes to playing live these guys not only bring it, they nail it. Transcendent of era, Bats could be well placed in any decade of rock, but would stand out nonetheless with their swirling vortex of neo- psychedelic riffs and vocal melodies that glide around the mix like apparitions.
“BATS” is the new music project of Michael Paver from “The Scotch of Saint James”, one of Perth’s most lauded rock n roll acts. Other members of the band also hail from well-known musical outfits such as “The Infidels”, “The Volcanics”, “The Belle Ends” and “Ruby Boots”.
