Come gather round, children, it’s high time ye learned ’bout a hero named Homer
and a devil named Burns, as Dan Cribb releases the ninth track in his year-long tribute to The Simpsons, Worst Tribute Ever.
After unleashing fan favourites alongsideEcca Vandal and Jeremy Neale in recent months, Cribb has recruited Polish Club’s David Novak for classic ballad Union Strike Folk Song.
Another early ‘90s hit, the tune appears on season four episodeLast Exit To Springfield and features Lisa plucking away on an acoustic guitar with protesters outside the Power Plant.
“David’s voice is next level and it’s so awesome to hear it on this stripped-back song,” Cribb said.
“When I initially approached him about the project, he brought up Dental Plan/Lisa Needs Braces, which is from the same episode and how Union Strike Song came into the equation. Stay tuned as that line will make an appearance later in the project.”
