Fresh off the back of their breakout Canadian tour which included shows at Canadian Music Week, Pretty City are thrilled to announce a special run of shows in Melbourne and Sydney over the Queen’s birthday weekend with some very special guests, which they are keeping up their sleeve … for now.
After launching into Canada and receiving a spotlight as the best new artist of the week on Toronto’s influential rock station, Edge 102.1 beating out the likes of Amy Shark and Royal Blood, the band raised the roof off their Canadian Music Week showcases dishing up their unique brand of energetic, melodic fuzz rock.
‘Very early in @CMW_Week but it’s hard to see how the @prettycityband show tonight @smilingbuddhato will be topped.’ T-MAK
Following on from their North American success, which has included performances at SXSW (2016), Canadian Music Week (2017), and their debut album ‘Colorize’ being added to 156 College radio stations, reaching as high as number 70 on the CMJ charts, the band recently signed with European agency Rola Music. November 2017 sees Pretty City embark on their most ambitious tour yet, with a 20 date tour booked throughout the UK, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
With a heavy international touring schedule and their Sophomore LP due for release later in the year, these Queen’s birthday weekend shows will be a unique opportunity to see the band preview songs from their new record in their home town of Melbourne, and their home away from home in Sydney.
