The Street Machine Summernats, Australia’s world famous car festival, has revealed an almighty music lineup with Wolfmother, Thundamentals and 28 Days making their first-ever Nats appearance at Exhibition Park in Canberra.
Kicking off Friday night’s entertainment is legendary punk/hip-hop band 28 Days. “We’re definitely looking forward to a big hit out at Summernats. It’s a crazy crowd and that’s exactly what we like.” The five-piece first introduced their trademark sound to the scene 20 years ago, and are best known for hits including ‘Rip it Up’, ‘What’s the Deal?’ and ‘Sucker’.
Coming off a massive national tour to launch their fourth album and #2 ARIA debut, Everyone We Know, Aussie hip-hop giants Thundamentals are headlining Friday night at the Nats. Famously known as one of Australia’s most exciting and powerful live acts, the guys can’t wait to deliver on main stage. “Thundas are pumped about hitting the Summernats. We hear the Nats gets pretty wild on Friday night, and it’s gonna be a heap of fun with the guys from 28 Days there too.”
Saturday night sees multi platinum selling rockers, Wolfmother returning to Aussie shores in January to headline the festival. With a massive global following playing to sold out crowds around the world, as well as sharing the stage with rock royalty including Guns N Roses, Aerosmith and AC/DC and many others, Wolfmother have spent most of the last 18 months touring the world promoting their latest album, ‘Victorious’. With a Grammy alongside ARIA, APRA and other awards, Wolfmother’s dynamite live show will tear up the Summernats main stage.
