The February 12 entertainment line-up features:
Spurs for Jesus: This will be Spurs’ first appearance at the Markets since 2015. It’s been way too long and we can’t wait to have Australia’s favourite cowpunks grace our stage once more. A little bit country with big dollops of rock‘n’roll spiced up with rockabilly, gospel, swing, tex mex and more, Spurs love a big shindig and they plan to give us one.
A Band Called Twang: The Sunshine Coast’s most in-demand rockabilly cats have been sweeping festival-goers off their feet all around the nation – now it’s our turn. With an infectious sense of fun, their original repertoire combines rockabilly with blues/Americana, stamped with their own indelible style. This marks the launch of their brand-new album Rootin’ Tootin’, a follow-up of their critically acclaimed Rockabilly Girl, and it’s bound to get this Sydney crowd rootin’, tootin’, hootin’ and hollerin’ for more.
The Hellcat III: Since their debut in 2015, these seasoned musos have raised hell before thousands of rockabilly, dance and kustom kulture enthusiasts offering an exciting blend of traditional, new and unique rockabilly. There’ll be a whole lotta shakin’ going on, that’s for sure.
The Drey Rollan Band: With their electrifying vocals, explosive guitar licks and funky rhythms, this band shapes a driving energy that is dynamic and rare. Growing up on a healthy dose of rhythm and blues, rockabilly, doo-wop and rock’n’roll, the Sydney-based outfit have played up and down the east coast, capital cities, festivals and everywhere in between.
Plus DJs Limpin’ Jimmy & the Swingin’ Kitten, Andy Travers, The Crimplenes, Grazza and MC Limpin’ Jimmy.
