Adelaide’s Psych-rockers, Heinous Crimes set to release new single ‘Lies’

Adelaide’s Heinous Crimes are set to release the world premiere of their upcoming single ‘Lies’ on all digital platforms on November 15th. The hypnotic and explosive track is the first taste off their upcoming second EP offering ‘Popular Music for Popular People’ due for release in 2019.

Heinous Crimes have had a productive 2018, playing a heap of shows including supports for Israeli garage-rock legends Elephant Hive, and Spanish alt-rockers Berri Txarrak on their latest tour with Rise Against.

Heinous Crimes have been in the studio working on polishing the material for the upcoming EP in 2019 and will be playing the Menagerie festival at The Tote in Melbourne on December 8th as part of the ‘Lies’
single release, alongside Dr. Colossus and a stack of other heavy rock talent.

“Heinous Crimes came to life in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide in 2015, releasing their debut EP ‘No Time’ a year later, which drew from a mix of 90’s alt-rock and 70’s inspired hard-rock, marking the band’s place among the Adelaide underground music scene. 2017 saw the departure of the band’s drummer and Heinous Crimes needed a new direction, recruiting a second guitarist and new drummer, and taking a more jam-based approach in the band’s song writing process. The four-piece dynamic brought with it a heavier and fuller sound, leading to a completely fresh and unique blend of psychedelic, desert rock and alternative rock elements that have formed the Heinous Crimes sound. The band are currently in the studio polishing material for their second EP offering ‘Popular Music for Popular People” due for release in 2019 and are touring the ‘Lies’ single throughout November and December 2018.
