ALBUM REVIEW: One More Weekend – We Used To…

Independant - 27th July 2018

One More Weekend were formed in early March 2015 in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs and include front man Connor Dougan on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Leith Dougan on Bass , Tim Aslett on lead guitar and Paul Healey on Drums. Deeper in you find the variety ‘De-Icing My Car‘ has darker guitars and uses space well and elsewhere you find that these guys do understand that music like this isn’t just abut the overwhelming sound there are plenty of more interesting place to explore, like the darker take on ‘Generation’ and the acoustic fueled ‘Lost at Sea’. Sure it might just be seen as one for the kids but I always liked a little reminder now and again that summer isn’t ever too far away.
