Australia’s newest heavy music festival Meltdown to feature Gay Paris, Child, Arteries & more

Meltdown Festival 2018

Meltdown Festival is Australia’s newest touring festival that looks to target the nations ever growing alternative and heavy market.

Booking, Management and Promotions company the Dirthouse Agency have been simmering away over the last 18 months steadily growing their artist and touring rosters and Meltdown Festival will see them expand into Festival territory.

Taking place in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne over successive weekends in May, the inaugural Meltdown Fest features some of Australia’s fastest rising acts, 7 of which will play ALL shows
Gay Paris, Child, Arteries, The Black Swamp, Sumeru, Never and one more to be announced will play all cities while the remaining line up in each city will feature awesome local talent.

Dirthouse Agency’s aim is to see these local bands get the opportunity to play alongside some of the best talent Australia has to offer.

Festival organiser and Dirthouse owner Jason Finlay says of Meltdown, ‘We look forward to providing a day of good times, great bands for the fans and hope to create memories that they’ll never forget.
The 2018 line up has been finalised, and Finlay is already looking towards expanding in 2019 with more cities and multiple stages! Dirthouse Agency is hoping to make the festival an annual event on the national music calendar and grow it into something they believe the Australian heavy music scene sorely needs.
