Danish doom/death veterans Caustic release ‘Brotherhood’ single

Caustic

Danish doom/death veterans Caustic were formed in Esbjerg, Denmark in 1991. The band’s two first demos «An Integral Sense» (1991) and «Timid Reality» (1992) received worldwide recognition via the strong extreme metal underground network in these times. The releases were also some of the first to be produced by Jacob Hansen – one of the metal scene’s absolute most respected producers today, having produced and mixed huge names as Volbeat, Pretty Maids, Doro, UDO, Amaranthe, Destruction, Pestilence, etc ever since.

The band called it a day in 1997, but returned for new concerts in 2010, and released a brand new 7” “Murder The World” in 2017 along with even more festival gigs.

Caustic have now signed to Mighty Music for a full length album, which will see the light of day in spring 2019.

Peter Mesnickow of Mighty Music is excited: “Back in the good old fanzine/tape-trader days, I received a copy of «Timid Reality» for my own fanzine. I loved it right away – and I always considered Caustic to be one of the most original Danish bands from these days, so I am happy to work with Caustic on their coming full-length album after 26 years! I know Michael (Mighty Music CEO) feels the same. Can’t wait to hear the new album!“.

Now the band is ready with a new single – the first taste from their coming album. A quite unusual new single.

The band has this to say about Brotherhood: “Taste the forbidden fruit and brother will kill brother. The complete corruption of Man, and so much more is yet to come! In the eye of the celebration of our brand new record deal with the mighty “Mighty Music”. We have decided to make a teaser of what is about to come in the near future. This is not a typical Doom/Death track by Caustic, but it´s portraying the beautiful grotesque, which has always been the main goal, and a key tool to illustrate the variety of expression by Caustic. The video is called «Brotherhood» and is a collaboration with our very talented friends Mika Filborne and Michael Berenth. Enter the church and witness the fall of Man…
