Dirty Pagans release second EP ‘Volume 1’ and ‘Armour of Satan’ video clip

Dirty Pagans

Adelaide stoner rock/doom metal band Dirty Pagans have just unleashed their second EP titled ‘VOLUME 1’ and video clip for the first single ‘Armour of Satan’ directed by Brett. A. Hookam (Havok (USA), Alkira and Hidden Intent).

Inspired by the likes of Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, W.A.S.P and Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats. Dirty Pagans is made up of Adelaide’s biggest names in the alternative music scene; Matty Dee (former vocalist for sleaze rock- Generation Swine) fronts the band on vocals/guitar, Gregory “Fransico” Challis (Frontman of thrash metal band – Alkira) on lead guitar, James Russo (former vocalist for pop rock group – iCYU) on bass/vocals and Jarrad Mark Taylor (Drummer of In:Extremis – Death Metal).

‘VOLUME 1’ is exactly what fans of the first ‘Dirty Pagans’ self-titled EP were hoping for with their signature glass-shattering vocals layered on top of rhythmic fat fuzzy guitar riffs and heavy basslines. These occult-loving heathens take you on a nostalgic trip back to the days of VRCs and FBI piracy warnings in ‘Armour of Satan’. Filmed through a heavy grain filter with plenty of smoke, pentagrams and candles to capture the essence of an 80s’ B-grade horror movie. ‘VOLUME 1’ has five new tracks including ‘The Man Who Killed The Gods’, ‘Visions’, ‘Down Below’ and ‘Love in Your Eyes’.

Dirty Pagans will be playing Churches of Steel ll- Adelaide’s True Metal Festival alongside thrash metallers Hidden Intent and Lich King (USA) on the 3rd of February at The Ed Castle before supporting Swedish stoner rock group Greenleaf on their first tour of Australia on the 10th of March at Jive. Dirty Pagans embark on their first interstate tour in May with the final date and the launch show of ‘VOLUME 1’ on the 26th of May at Jive, line-up TBA.
