EP PREMIERE: Abstract Artimus – When The Beast Is After Me

Abstract Artimus

On April 13th Alabama bred Brooklynite Abstract Artimus will release “When The Beast Is After Me” on Brooklyn’s Dire Life Records. The new EP draws influence from Artimus’ southern roots growing up in Alabama and attending the concerts of his father at a young impressionable age. At the time of his birth, his father was the drummer for the Jimmie Van Zant Band (Cousin of Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd) which allowed Artimus to mature around some of the most prolific Southern Rockers of all time. Since then Artimus has perfected his own brand of high energy Rock N Roll with a hint of a southern draw. “When The Beast Is After Me” showcases heavy guitar driven compositions as well as the title track and slight departure from the main theme which features programmed drums and a much darker, dance driven and primitive vibe. Custom colored 12″ vinyl and CD’s will be available via Dire Life Records at AbstractArtimus.com and will also be available in all digital download and streaming markets.

The Rockpit is exclusively premiering the new EP for streaming ahead of it’s release, listen below!
