Legs Electric announce tour dates supporting new EP ‘Two Sides’; ‘Dark Paradise’

Legs Electric

Legs Electric summon the spirit of the golden days of heavy rock – overcharging ’70s blues-based riffs with a full-power vocal attack and a live show worthy of Sunset Strip. In just a few years, the Legs Electric ladies have chiselled their name in stone as one of the most electrifying, must-see bands in their home city of Perth.

Taking the sonic boom of their live show and capturing it like a storm in a bottle, Legs Electric have channelled everything they have into their new EP, Two Sides. With some songs produced by Ken Watt (a legendary Perth guitar-slinger from such bands as Asteroid B-612, Atom Smasher and Valvolux) and others produced by Eskimo Joe’s Joel Quartermain, Two Sides shows off the band’s innate talent for both songwriting and delivery.

The EP’s first single, Dark Paradise, is Legs Electric in perfect summary: huge guitars, huge drums, huge vocals and huge hooks. In under three and a half minutes, Legs Electric arrive, destroy the place and leave. Every song that follows on the EP is like the next wave of assault – from the driving, head-nod rhythm of Kingdom, to the groove-laden riffery of Shine Right Through, to the fittingly monstrous bass of Strange Addiction – each song coming packed with an explosive, super-sized chorus. At the insistence of fans, I Wanna Riot, the band’s debut single and live favourite, also finds is deserved place on the EP, rounding out the record with a huge punch.

Each Legs Electric song is a wall of guitar, from bone-crunching rhythms to slick, powerful leads. All credit for this goes to the band’s accomplished guitarist, Elana Haynes. Behind her is the unshakable rhythm section of drumming prodigy Kylie Soanes and thundering bassist, Erin Gooden. Last, but most certainly not least, there is the voice of Ama Quinsee. The heart and soul of Legs Electric’s sound, Quinsee’s voice is raw power tamed into snarling melodic hooks that span from smoky, sultry lows, to a full-velocity howl that can bring the house down.

Legs Electric will be touring in support of Two Sides throughout July, taking their high octane show across Australia. Rock fans should be warned not to miss this incredible band in the flesh. As a choice of support from names like Baby Animals, Ace Frehley, Sebastian Bach, The Supersuckers, Uriah Heep and many more, you won’t be disappointed.
