The highly anticipated Lez Zeppelin Australian tour, scheduled for July and August 2018, has been postponed due to the ill health of the tour promoter. The team is already working behind-the-scenes to secure a new run of dates for the acclaimed all girl rockers to bring their tour to Australia in early 2019, with dates to be announced shortly.
Promoter Wayne Kalil was unexpectedly taken ill and rushed to hospital was forced to make the difficult decision to postpone the tour. He extends his gratitude to everyone involved in the tour for their understanding and support during his extended recovery. “My health is starting to improve and I have been given the green light by my doctors,” he says of the decision to start working on dates for 2019. “I am committed to rescheduling the tour for early 2019 and am already routing the schedule. I have been in contact with the band and we are working together to make it happen.”
Lez Zeppelin – aptly coined as all girl, all Zeppelin – have been paying homage to the British greats for 14 years and they’ve earned acclaim around the world for doing it. This is not your ordinary tribute band, Lez Zeppelin embody the spirit of their namesake, playing the iconic songs note-for-note, while incorporating their own musicality. These girls are all consummate musicians, they know their craft and they know it well… and they rock hard. They are equally committed to bringing their show to Australia next year.
“We deeply regret having to reschedule our upcoming tour due to a health emergency,” says band founder Steph Paynes. “However, we are relieved that all is now well with our promoter and thrilled to announce that we are currently rescheduling what promises to be an incredible, whirlwind rock and roll adventure. It has been a dream of ours for many years to play for the amazing, world-class music fans of Australia. There is no better match for the powerful and passionate music of Led Zeppelin. Its been a long time coming, but we promise it will be worth the wait. We look forward to bringing a whole lotta love – and more – to you in early 2019.”
Ticketholders are encouraged to contact their place of purchase for refunds. Dates for Lez Zeppelin’s rescheduled Australian tour will be announced in the coming weeks.
