Irish pagan metal gods PRIMORDIAL announces their new album Exile Amongst The Ruins for a March 30th release through Metal Blade Records. The band teamed with producer Ola Ersfjord, who worked on their 2016 live album Gods to the Godless. The record was tracked at Dublin’s Camelot Studios, located adjacent to PRIMORDIAL’s rehearsal room.

Once again building upon their signature sound, the follow up to 2014’s Where Greater Men Have Fallen is a more raw, “old school sounding” record than its predecessor. Hitting home with what vocalist A.A. Nemtheanga describes as “a direct energy” and wielding an urgency that is undeniable, the Irish quintet once again effortlessly blend elements of tragedy and might like no one else. Likewise, the evolution in their sound continues to be organic and unforced, ensuring that Exile Amongst The Ruins is essential listening for both their long term faithful and those only now drawn into their world.

Commenting about the album’s first single, ‘Stolen Years’, A.A. Nemtheanga added: “‘Stolen Years’ may seem like a strange choice as our lead single, and on the face of if I guess it is. It’s not a blood and thunder epic about tragedy and might and the ruin of nations, nor is it 9 minute epistle of doom. Have no fear, the album does contain those also but to open this time we chose something different. This album has some surprises and this is one of them, a short and painfully simple song which almost didn’t make the final cut if you can believe so. The video, cut by Costin Chioreanu, is about the journey involved in finally getting to that moment where you walk on stage, the song itself about that last night on earth that comes to us all, sometimes we never know when that might be, hold your loved ones tight tonight, this could be it…

Exile Amongst The Ruins track listing:
1. Nail Their Tongues
2. To Hell or the Hangman
3. Where Lie the Gods
4. Exile Amongst the Ruins
5. Upon Our Spiritual Deathbed
6. Stolen Years
7. Sunken Lungs
8. Last Call

German thrash legends ACCUSER will release their new album The Mastery January 26th via Metal Blade Records!

Watch the brand new video for Catacombs here

ACCUSER comments on the new video: “Catacombs describes the attempt to escape a psychological dead end. Imprinting, education and religion are the possible causes of this dark aberration, so the lyrics of this tune are quite gloomy and kinda fit into the present time where a lot of people have to deal with depression, fear or mental problems. Musically, Catacombs is a classical Accu§er thrash anthem with taughtly riffs, a chorus you can scream your lungs out to and some really intense solos.

Fans can also hear Mission Missile and Time For Silence on their Metal Blade Records youtube playlist HERE, as well as on Spotify and Apple Music.

ACCUSER has been in a constant songwriting mode all over last year. Combined with the energy and spontaneity from several live shows the songs came together very quickly. Together with long time producer Martin Buchwalter they put together the record in the summer of 2017 at well-known Gernhart Studio (Destruction, Tankard and many more). For the band The Mastery, is some kind of missing link between the technical virtuosity of an album like Who dominates Who and the more basic, heavy approach of Repent. Best of both worlds so to say and not only for the band the best album since their comeback in 2008. The Mastery’contains all of the elements that define the ACCUSER sound: heavy, chunky thrash riffs, aggressive vocals with a touch of melody – in addition to the high class guitar solos by youngster Dennis Rybakowski. When it comes to the lyrical side of their songs, AccuSer still raises their voices to denounce social grievances.

Sacred ReichThrash metal legends Sacred Reich have signed with Metal Blade Records! They are currently writing material for what will be their sixth album and first since 1996’s Heal.
Since their 1985 inception, the band has become one of the most revered 80s thrash bands and have continued to carry the torch with European festival appearances, plus their 2012 Live at Wacken album. Given Sacred Reich’s politically conscious material, today’s divisive climate means the band’s views are more relevant and vital than ever.

Sacred Reich vocalist and bassist Phil Rind comments:
We are very happy to announce that SACRED REICH have signed with Metal Blade Records and we are writing songs for a new album. Our plan is to go into the studio this summer and have a new record out early next year. We are super excited and can’t wait to share some new music with you!

Lik
Lik | Photo credit: Michaela Barkensjö

In the dirt where fallen icons lay to rest, the maggots and seeds spawned in 2014 a new creation. This took the ugly form of Lik, which fittingly means corpse in Swedish. An un-dead creation which offers a plate of savory old school death metal.

Metal Blade welcomes Lik to their roster. Lik comments: “The huge impact Metal Blade has had on the scene is something you can’t overlook, and being a part of this family is a ‘pinch yourself to see if you’re dreaming’ scenario! We can’t stress enough about how psyched we are and it’s just another sign that no frills death metal is still alive and breathing!”

Walking the earth for three cold winters, and with the first offer named Mass Funeral Evocation, it’ll have a sister released in May of 2018.

Lik has no passage as this entity is devoted to make a permanent mark on those who lay down their souls to Rock’n’Roll. The possessed souls to carry out the sonics are Tomas Akvik (Guitar/Vocals), Niklas Sandin (Guitar/Bass) and Christofer Barkensjo (Drums).

Fight The FightLast January, Norway’s Fight The Fight released their self-titled debut digitally in the USA – now, the band is giving the record a proper physical release in the States via Blacklight Media.
Due out February 9th, Fight the Fight can be pre-ordered now at: www.blacklightmediarecords.com/fightthefight where a new video (directed by Kyrre Larsen) for the album track “The Other Side” can be viewed.

Fight the Fight comments: “We are super stoked to show you guys the video for ‘The Other Side’. This is a song about choosing sides, having a look inside your own truth and what makes you – you. Fuck the expectations of others or the society. Fight for it, be yourself.

Barely breaking into their twenties, Fight The Fight has already been a band – though under a different name (Faenskap) – for more than a decade. It’s the classic story of childhood friends and schoolmates whose dreams and ambitions run high, and ultimately form a band together. Pushing the whole project to the limit of their capabilities, they succeeded in reaching their goal: creating a record that reflects their vision of what’s to come. Not your average album, this mature, well-composed rock/metal grenade immediately explodes with memorable hooks, catchphrases and choruses, and the rock, punk, metal and black metal elements are woven into a unique and progressive sound. With this debut, it is clear that Fight The Fight is destined for great things.

On February 9th, Salt Lake City’s traditional metal champions Visigoth will release their sophomore album, Conqueror’s Oath, via Metal Blade Records.

For a first preview of Conqueror’s Oath, the new single “Warrior Queen” can be viewed now HERE.

Listen to Outlive Them All

Standing in staunch opposition to any presumptuous notion of “reinventing the wheel” or “redefining the genre”, Visigoth instead dedicates themselves to worshipping at the ageless altars of heavy metal with a singular focus on writing music inspired by their favorite records. Whether whipped into a frenzy ignited by classic USPM or NWOBHM anthems, or pensively meditating on traditional epic heavy metal or weighty doom-inspired moments, these Salt City hessians wear their influences proudly on their sleeves. With their new 2017 long-player Conqueror’s Oath, Visigoth stays true to the title and conquers the sophomore slump blues with 8 iron-forged anthems of pure metal magick guaranteed to satiate the hunger of the rock’n’roll hordes! Returning to the depths of the Boar’s Nest in their hometown of Salt Lake City to record once again with engineer extraordinaire Andy Patterson (Subrosa, Deathblow, Dreadnought, et al), Conqueror’s Oath was hammerforged in a whirlwind month of mayhem and mastered by Dave Otero of Flatline Audio (Satan’s Host, Nightbringer, Khemmis, et al). Immortalized by breathtaking cover art created by none other than underground album art legend Kris Verwimp (whose work has graced records by Absu, Bewitched, Desaster, Horna, Moonsorrow, Skullview, Arkona, and many, many more) in proper swords-and-sorcery fashion, Conqueror’s Oath stands tall on the field of battle, serving as a gauntleted fist in the face of non-believers. Prepare for the onslaught of Salt City Steel!

2. Warrior Queen
3. Outlive Them All

Rock quintet Good Tiger is thrilled to share their brand new video “Salt Of The Earth,

The track comes from the band’s forthcoming sophomore album, We Will All Be Gone, which is set to be released on February 9th, 2018 via Blacklight Media Records.

Watch it here!

Pre-orders are available now at metalblade.com/goodtiger

On the new video, guitarist Dez Nagle shares: “The video for ‘Salt Of The Earth’ was filmed during our last US tour, showing a small insight into our lives on the road. The song is a lot of fun to play live and we look forward to playing it on every continent we can in 2018.”

Blending their influences in a manner that defies lazy classification sets Good Tiger apart from their contemporaries, imbuing everything they do with a distinctive sound and feel, and with We Will All Be Gone, Good Tiger have dramatically built upon their stunning debut, 2015’s A Head Full Of Moonlight.

Comprised of guitarists Derya “Dez” Nagle and Joaquin Ardiles, bassist Morgan Sinclair, drummer Alex Rudinger, and vocalist Elliot Coleman, Good Tiger has raised the stakes across the board – every track on We Will All Be Gone has a definitive character of its own, and none stay in a single gear, all of them dynamic and textured as they evoke various tones and moods. Tracking at Middle Farm Studios in southwest England, the band recruited producer Forrester Savell (Karnivool/Dead Letter Circus), and engineer/mixer Adam “Nolly” Getgood (Periphery/Animals As Leaders). “We worked with Nolly on the last album, we had a great working relationship, and wanted to explore that further in a more developed situation,” Dez explains. “Forrester has made some of our favorite albums, and is someone we could trust steering the ship. Having self-produced for so long it can be at times quite difficult to let go, so it was important we found people we could fully entrust to help create the album we wanted to make.”
