For another preview of the album, the video for the first single “Harakiri” (directed by David Brodsky / davidsbrodsky.com) can be viewed now at: metalblade.com/twitchingtongues

The title for Twitching Tongues’ fourth full-length, Gaining Purpose Through Passionate Hatred, was drawn from a quote by famed social philosopher Eric Hoffer – “Passionate hatred can give meaning and purpose to an empty life” – and it reflects the band’s mentality in approaching the record: paying homage to those who supported them while belligerently responding to their detractors. With “failure” as a core theme driving Colin Young’s lyrics, it also features his first foray into the political arena, motivated by the contemporary political climate to speak his mind. Directly inspired by film scores, the record has a strong epic feel, the band realizing their vision of having the music flow like a story being told. With interconnected parts, musical references and callbacks in each song, everything is tied together in a manner unlike any of their previous releases. At the same time, while maintaining the same levels of hardness and aggression that has characterized their later work, it features much more immediate and memorable melodies, which evoke the sound of In Love There Is No Law yet at the same time feel fresh and new.

Gaining Purpose Through Passionate Hatred track-listing:
1. AWOL (State of the Union)
2. Harakiri
3. Kill for You
4. T.F.R.
5. Forgive & Remember
6. Gaining Purpose

VultureMetal Blade Records is proud to announce the sealing of a pact with German speed metallers Vulture.
The full metal quintet has signed a multiple album deal with the Blade and is right now in the songwriting process for their tentative new album to be released by the end of 2018.

Vulture comments: “We feel proud and honored to officially announce our contract conclusion with METAL BLADE RECORDS! Signing up with the legendary label that released many of those albums that sparked our passion for extreme metal in our youths feels like completing the circle. Now, more motivated and bloodthirsty than ever, we are already eagerly working on new tracks for our second full-length. Attention posers! Prepare to die!”

The high speed metal militia that is Vulture was formed in late summer 2015. It was only half a year later when their first demo entitled Victim To The Blade saw the light of the day.

Their first output contains four fast, eerie and face melting tracks that created a huge furor around the scene. The feedback was so tremendous that it not only resulted in multiple re-releases as an EP on vinyl and CD, but also for participations in renowned concerts and festivals around Europe such as Metal Assault, Hell Over Hammaburg or the infamous Live Evil festival in London.

Vulture released their debut LP The Guillotine in the summer of 2017 and straight on the boys continued their killing streak with eight massive songs that contained even more aggression and fury than their predecessors. Having added more melody and variation to their songwriting, Vulture clearly emphasizes that they are not in line for being yet another homage to the 80s metal scene.

Being joined by a fifth member and now permanent drummer just a few months ago, Vulture has lifted off higher than ever in order to deliver another full-length album soon.
The studio has already been booked for this summer and we can definitely assure you: Vulture kills!

Swedish death metal legends The Crown will release their new album, Cobra Speed Venom, on March 16th via Metal Blade Records.
Produced together with Fredrik Nordstrom at Studio Fredman, the record promises to be one of the biggest surprises of the year. A return to death metal speed and darkness in full glory!

The Crown has now released the 2nd single taken off Cobra Speed Venom. Watch the full production video clip for the title track from Cobra Speed Venom.

The Crown comments: “A 5 minute Death Metal Grindcore Opera! Take a deep breath before the plunge – This will drag you down into the deep Waters!

Comments The Crown on their new album Cobra Speed Venom: “We are really looking forward to finally be able to show our fans how damn good this band can be when the circumstances are right. With that I mean to be able to do an album the way we want to do it: creating as a band, rehearsing as a band, recording as a band. You will hear a band performing here, with fierce energy and hunger!

With their motivation at an all-time high, The Crown spent most of 2017 intensely rehearsing 13 new songs. They eventually entered the classic Studio Fredman with Fredrik Nordstrom to record what would become their new album, Cobra Speed Venom. The sound is massive, brutal and a real punch in the face. Extreme speed and aggression mixed with classic heavy metal and rock n’ roll, which really shows that The Crown has no boundaries. The apocalyptic theme of the lyrics and music also fits perfectly with the outstanding artwork of Christian Sloan Hall.

After 27 years, the band is still motivated to create a classic piece of art – and together with Metal Blade Records once again, the vision is real.

Cobra Speed Venom track-listing:
1. Destroyed By Madness
2. Iron Crown
3. In the Name of Death
4. We Avenge!
5. Cobra Speed Venom
6. World War Machine
7. Necrohammer
8. Rise In Blood
9. Where My Grave Shall Stand
10. The Sign of the Scythe

On March 16th, Brooklyn’s Eyes Of The Sun will release their debut album, Chapter I, via Blacklight Media Records. Originally self-released in 2013, Chapter I blends ambient and moody guitars with bouts of double bass driven aggression. This is sludgy doom with an angry edge, and as vocalist/bassist Jeff Blanchard describes: “‘Chapter I’ is all about the demise and destruction we do to our planet and to ourselves.

To preview Chapter I, the album track “My War” can be streamed now at:
http://www.blacklightmediarecords.com/eyesofthesun
where the record can also be pre-ordered on CD and digitally.

Chapter I track-listing:
1. My War
2. When It Dies
3. Walks of Life
4. Choke
5. End of Origin
6. Nineteen
7. Sound the Horns
8. Slavery of Another Name

Eyes Of The Sun was conceived in early 2007 by bassist/vocalist Jeff Blanchard. Long-time friend Miguel De Jesus Jr. joined the ranks with Jeff a few months later on guitar. Within a few years, and after a couple of past members on second guitar and drums, Chris O’Neil joined as the permanent drummer. As a trio, they performed countless shows over the past 10 years, delivering their unique brand of doom metal – which leaves listeners with a range of emotions, that the band themselves then experience and extract from. The band explains: “It is known throughout the laws of science and nature that the sun creates and sustains life…Now it stands witness to the atrocities, depletion and vile consumption manifested by mankind, which it originally sustained life for. In our way, we portray what is seen through the Eyes Of The Sun.”
