Rivers Of Nihil - Where Owls Know My NameRivers Of Nihil has launched a video for “The Silent Life“, taken off the band’s latest album, Where Owls Know My Name.

Rivers Of Nihil’s Brody Uttley (guitar) comments: “This live music video for ‘The Silent Life’ was filmed by the kind folks over at MyGoodEye Visuals in our hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania on the last date of our recent headlining tour. We had our good pal Zach Strouse playing live saxophone with us that night, so it seemed like a great chance to catch some footage. As always, working with David Brodsky and his team was a blast. We hope you enjoy.

Where Owls Know My Name debuted on the Billboard and Canadian music charts upon its release in March: #3 Top New Artist Albums (Billboard / USA), #9 Current Hard Music Albums (Billboard / USA), #57 Top 200 Current Albums (Billboard / USA), #61 Top 200 Albums (Billboard / USA), #50 Top 200 Chart (Canada), #10 Top Hard Music Charts (Canada). Named “one of the best progressive death metal albums in years” (HeavyBlogIsHeavy.com) and one of “2018’s Best Metal Albums…So Far” (Loudwire.com),

ArtilleryNovember 16th sees Artillery release their new album, The Face Of Fear – which is the successor to 2016’s Penalty By Perception. The Danes have now launched a video for the 3rd single taken off the album – “Pain” – which can be seen HERE.

Guitarist Michael Stutzer comments: “The story behind ‘Pain’ is a true story, about an alcoholic who was never listening to his friends or family when they tried to make him stop and quit drinking. And when he got to the point where he realized himself, he had to stop – it was too late and there was no way out anymore. The video for ‘Pain’ was recorded in Kolding and Randers by Morten Madsen (MSM production), who also directed our previous videos for ‘Legions’ and ‘Live by the Scythe’.”

The Face Of Fear is the band’s 9th studio album and the third with the current line-up. To hear the previous singles, “The Face Of Fear” and “Crossroads To Conspiracy”,

Cannibal Corpse - Red Before BlackOn November 23rd, Metal Blade Records will release a limited vinyl picture disc of Cannibal Corpse‘s latest album, Red Before Black. Purchase your copy at Indie Merch / EMP or Ebay

Many words come to mind when you hear the name Cannibal Corpse, but one truly defines the soon-to-be thirty-year death metal veterans: Unstoppable. Produced by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Goatwhore), their latest album, Red Before Black, serves to not only reiterate this but to once more raise the stakes, making it very clear who sets the standard when it comes to always compelling music that is equally brutal and complex. Moreover, the band have pushed themselves again, ensuring that it stands out from their catalog. “Throughout our career we’ve tried to improve the precision of both our musical execution and our album production, while still maintaining full-on aggression. ‘Red Before Black’ continues in that direction, but might go even further on the aggressive side of things. It’s definitely precise, but it has a rawness to it that goes beyond anything we’ve done recently,” asserts bassist Alex Webster. “We really worked super hard crafting these songs, practicing them, and getting them where we wanted to be more so than on any of our previous albums,” adds drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz. “And as Alex said, musically I think it’s the most raw sound we’ve had – and at the same time I think it’s our most focused, tightest and catchiest record.”
