Nine Shrines releases new track ‘Ringworm’ from upcoming album ‘Retribution Therapy’

Nine Shrines

Mascot Records and Nine Shrines have presented the first new repetoire from the band’s upcoming studio album RETRIBUTION THERAPY. That title will be released globally via Mascot Label Group in 2019. A pre-order will go live early next year timed to the release of the band’s lead single from the upcoming album.

When asked about the song titled “Ringworm,” singer Chris Parketny shares, “The song is specifically about the abuse of power in religious institutions. I was born and raised Catholic and went to Catholic school most of my life. I often find myself questioning the legitimacy of these leaders. This song is not to be confused with anti-religion. The problem lies not with the infallibility of God, but the fallibility of men who speak on His behalf.

Nine Shrines is former Attack Attack! drummer Andrew Wetzel, Life On Repeat guitarist Andrew Baylis, bassist Devon Voisine, guitarist Evan McKeever and front man Chris Parketny. The upcoming release was mixed and produced by Dan Korneff (My Chemical Romance, Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin).
