There isn’t long to go before multi-platinum pop-punk stars Simple Plan touch down in Australia for their national No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls 15th Anniversary Tour.
Unfortunately Real Friends have had to cancel their upcoming appearances as support to Simple Plan on these dates.
The following statement is from Dan Lambton, the band’s frontman, and we wish him all the best in his battle with mental health.
“Hello everybody, Dan here. I will get right to the point and let you all know that Real Friends will have to cancel our upcoming international appearances in Australia, Europe, and the UK.
“Since coming home from recording, I am sober, on new medication, and undergoing an intensive outpatient group therapy program per the recommendation of my therapist. We all want to be the best possible versions of ourselves as individuals and in turn be the best possible version of Real Friends. We appreciate your support and understanding, and we want to note that this conversation about mental health will continue, but for now I’ll be continuing my treatment. Thank you all for your love and support”.

In more positive news, it can be announced that STATESIDE, who are one of the hottest young rising female-fronted acts in the country have been handpicked by Simple Plan and will be joining the tour. With the likes of Alternative Press recently singing their praises and Don’t Bore Us championing them as “Australia’s next huge pop punk export”, Chugg Entertainment and Destroy All Lines are thrilled to have them joining the tour.
The STATESIDE live performance is nothing short of exhilarating with Wall Of Sound recently exclaiming “This talented bunch are clearly going to go far and it’s always a pleasure watching them flaunt their talented musician and showmanship!”
