London’s newest and most anticipated event, Rock’n’Con presented by London Guitars announces full line-up for the exciting Night of Legends concert.
‘The Rock ‘n’ Con Night of Legends Concert promises to be once in a lifetime experience for fans. Some of the biggest names in rock will be doing a show together in the cool and intimate venue setting of Rum Runners. This night will never be replicated.’ said Jacob Windatt, co-organizer of the event.
The Night of Legends concert will be music fans only chance to see some of the biggest names in rock music performing on the same stage as part of one spectacular concert experience. The concert is held in the intimate music club setting of Rum Runners in downtown London Ontario. In this modern indie club everyone in attendance will be just mere feet away from these legends of rock as they perform their hit songs. Not since the early days of their careers have these rock stars performed for an audience in a setting such as this. With venue capacity set to 350 only a select number of people will have the opportunity to be part of this memorable moment in rock.
Starring in the concert will be the mighty voice of heavy metal, the one and only DEE SNIDER of Twisted Sister. He will be joined by The Queen of Metal, LITA FORD. Both continue to enjoy prosperous music careers and both musicians can largely be credited to changing the face of rock and roll at multiple intervals of their careers. They both wrote songs that will be anthems for generations to come. And they both shaped the course of rock and roll along the way, Dee fought off artistic censorship laws for the benefit of us all and Lita gave females a powerful voice in heavy metal and pioneered in the first all girl punk band the Runaways who are still regarded as icons and pioneers of punk music.
The concert will also feature performances by guest vocalists Morgan Lander (Kittie), Priya Panda (Diemonds) and Shaun Sanders (Buffalo Brothers) performing covers of their favourite rock classics. The five famous singers will be accompanied by a stellar band that includes guitarists Sean Kelly (Lee Aaron/Nelly Furtado) and Rick VanDyke (Headstones) with drummer Archie Gamble (Helix) and rounded out with accomplished musicians John Patterson (vocals), Chris Caron (bass), Paul Sguazzin (guitar).
The evening continues with Canadian Thrash Metal Legends RAZOR performing a full set of their classic hits and revealing some new material.
Pioneers of Canadian thrash metal, Razor has been referred to as one of the country’s “big four” metal bands alongside Sacrifice, Voivod and Annihilator. In the United States and Canada they have toured with well-known acts such as Slayer, Motorhead and Venom. They are considered a major influence on many metal bands around the world being consistently invited to perform at massive European and South American festivals. Current members include, founder Dave Carlo – Guitars, London’s own Bob (Bobnoxious) Reid – Vocals, Mike Campagnolo – Bass and Rider Johnson – Drums.
Also the legions of KISS fans will be happy to meet legendary drummer and KISS co-founder Peter Criss as he makes his first appearance in Canada in nearly two decades. Peter will be hosting an intimate VIP Experience on the evening of Friday June 8th before Rock’n’Con kicks off. At this very limited engagement Peter will be taking time to meet with each fan on an individual basis. The evening will take place in the lovely setting of the Jack Richardson Music Hall of Fame which features displays and memorabilia celebrating London’s famous musicians. The evening will be commemorated with a professional photo op with Peter as well as three autographs on your personal items.
