When it comes to bringing home a point, The Ruminaters don’t do things by halves. Fans were given a taste of the new album Welcome to Flight S.U.N 91 early on this year with the ebullient lead single, ‘Boys Off Work’ and this week, the Sydneysiders have complemented its release with a music video not likely to be forgotten any time soon.
Collaborating with director Marcus Haney (Coldplay, Elton John, Mumford and Sons) for ‘Boys Off Work’, The Rumies bare it all as they flip the bird to the 9-5 and tell their bosses to get stuffed, in favour of new horizons…reached via a nude motorbike journey into the sunset.
Follow our heroes as they light up and get close and personal, ditching the orders of seniority and throw themselves into the capable hands of their director and film crew.
“Usually if someone were to pitch the idea of getting three guys butt naked on a motorcycle to ride down a public road with no license and six men hanging off the back of a ute pointing expensive camera gear at us and screaming orders through a megaphone, I’d tell them to beat it. But we’ve been working with Marcus Haney for years now and we definitely know nothing is off limits. We’ve learnt to shut our mouths, do what he says and wind up in some of the most uncomfortable situations of our lives.”
