Trophy Eyes Announce Australian Regional Tour & release video for “Lavender Bay”

Trophy Eyes

Trophy Eyes have announced an Australian Regional Tour to take place in January 2019. Kicking off in Victoria prior to their highly anticipated UNIFY Gathering appearance in January, the tour hits regional centres in Victoria and New South Wales, including the band’s hometown of Newcastle. This tour comes after a wildly successful year for Trophy Eyes, having released their third album The American Dream and recently completing a successful Australian headline tour in their biggest rooms yet.

On the tour, vocalist John Floreani says: “Over the last few years, our home has shown us unconditional love and support. You’ve grown with us, changed with us and laughed and cried with us. We finally have the chance to share our story in some regional areas and give some love back.”

Trophy Eyes have also shared the breathtaking, gorgeous live visual for “Lavender Bay” off their recent full length, The American Dream, released earlier this year. Filmed at the bands’ recent Australian headlining dates, showcasing their biggest shows to date, “Lavender Bay” brings fans into the world of The American Dream.

Floreani described the significance of the song, “I used to walk through Lavender Bay, Sydney, picking the places I’m going to live from the harbour view mansions that towered over me.” He continued, “Sydney is my home, and I wanted it to know who I was. This song is living proof that dreams do come true, and we caught it all on camera. What’s your Lavender Bay?

Bursting with nuanced energy and massive hooks, The American Dream (released on August 3 on Hopeless Records/UNIFIED) exploded out of the gate charting at #8 in Australia (#1 Australian/Independent Artist), earning the coveted Triple J Feature Album, and garnering high praise from the critics (5/5 NME, 9/10 Rock Sound, 4K Kerrang!). The band continues to anchor their body of work with high profile touring, including 2018’s Reading and Leeds Festival and upcoming Australia and US headlining dates.

The American Dream – the third album in the Trophy Eyes collection – is based on the idea that there’s still utopia left on this planet – a place where one can start again and live a peaceful life, forsaking the trail of destruction that threaten to derail it all. The album also serves as a coming of age fable, in which lead vocalist John Floreani takes an introspective look at who he is today.

Trophy Eyes’ album The American Dream is out now, and tickets to their Australian regional tour are on sale via the band’s website.
