UK rockers Muffin to release debut self titled EP in March

Muffin

MUFFIN are the answer to the question, ‘what happens if you put Grunge, Punk, Indie and Rock in one big pot and mix it all together?’ It’s explosive, energetic, heavy music that you can dance to. It’s anthemic sing-along choruses engulfed with attitude and snarling guitars. 2017 came to a close with sold-out gigs at Sheffield’s Café Totem and London’s Camden Assembly, and 2018 opened with a brand new single and a sell-out show at 360 Club in Leeds for Independent Venue Week, MUFFIN’s year is sure to be as exciting as their live shows.

Taking influences from the likes of Incubus, Fizzy Blood, Queens of the Stone Age and Peace, MUFFIN’s most recent single ‘Welcome To The Modern Age’ is “an unholy mix of alt-rock, grunge, heavy jam-band and progressive music”. With a new line-up, and working with producer Dominic Richmond at Eiger Studios, the 5-piece have developed a sound that makes you want to let loose and get stuck in.

The new single perfectly sets up this debut self-titled EP, supported by a launch at Wharf Chambers, Leeds, on March 13th. You can expect a riff-centered, high voltage, heavy, catchy, new approach to Grunge Rock; one that harks back to the bands and the attitude that inspired the genre in the first place, but also one that is sensitive to the Indie and alternative scenes of today.
