Here’s a new name to me – Germany’s License have a Metallic Hard Rocking sound that will hit the right note with many. True there’s nothing new here, but then you don’t always need to be groundbreaking to make a impact. Opener ‘Line of Fire’ comes across like a late eighties hard edged rocker and the album pretty much continues that picture, filling in the gaps as it goes.
Tracks like the slower ‘From Hell’ show a little more but the good time rockers deliver too and track like ‘Rise Up’, ‘Loud ‘N’ Proud’, and ‘Make Some Noise’ are probably my top picks – and all driven by some nice guitar and Jacky Coke’s sleazy vocal.
If that’s the territory you love then this is definitely worth your time and if you’re of a certain age grab a beer and give ‘N.2.O.2.R‘ a spin -the title itself gives way it’s audience – ‘Never too Old to Rock’.
