Dan Howl’s releases his new single ‘King Si’ on 11th April and is a taster from his upcoming second album. Recorded at Rada studios by Matt Gio (Producer of Abbe Mays – Fruit & WAM award winner of “Best producer of 2018′) it’s a dark story of a fabled king played out through a fuzzy, distorted, slick tone of swampy electric guitars, big drums and incredulous vocals.

“I’m extremely excited with the way we’ve managed to capture the energy of this song. It is always the final song of our live sets and it’s beautiful to see it come to life” Says Dan.

“Matt Gio is a pleasure to work with and understood from the get go the bigness in sound that we wanted. It was great to work with him in the studio. I feel that ‘King Si’ is the start of something new for us. “

Dan’s band hits the road on a national tour in April & May, hitting Fairbridge Music Festival as well as dates across Melbourne, Brisbane, Northern New South Wales, Brisbane & Fremantle.

Dan Howls is an appropriate name for an artist with such a bellowing roar. Big, gritty and acidic, it is a voice that belongs to the blues. Dan has honed his talent through years of experience, and now returns with ‘King SI’ – a powerful, eerily beautiful single.

Universally understandable, Dan Howls’ sound is a passport to anywhere in the world. With his band, Dan is eager to tour anywhere and everywhere, starting with his own backyard. He has previously toured regional Western Australia, building his way up to a national tour of Australia, taking their bare knuckle brand of blues to music lovers in every corner of the country.

Having won WAM’s 2017 Blues Song of the Year, Dan performed headline shows in both Australia and Europe and has supported the likes of CW Stoneking, Abbe May and Harts.  A keen festival rocker too, Dan and his group have jumped on cutting edge events such as Falls Festival Nannup, Fremantle Folk Festival, Nannup Music Festival (where they took out the “Emerging artist award”), Bridgetown Blues Festival, WAMfest and Wave Rock Festival.

Their debut album “A Dime A Dozen” saw premieres of tracks “Mary Lou” and “Mood” on Triple J and featured as Album of the week on RTRFM.

Dan’s made a plethora of fans through the quality and outgoingness of his live shows. Catch Dan at one of his shows for a show of a lifetime.
