Taking a break from their successful global album tour, Boy & Bear today return home to announce dates to their Australian leg of their Suck On Light Tour.
The highly- anticipated headline tour is set to kick off at Tanks Arts Centre in Cairns on March 27, then move through to regional parts of the country as well as metro cities finishing up on May 16 at Waves in Wollongong, where the band will complete their 65-date global tour.
Tickets to the Suck On Light Tour, presented by triple j, go onsale on Thursday Dec 12th at 9am Local Time, with pre-sale tickets available now until Wed Dec 11th at 11.59pm Local Time.
Tim Hart says of their upcoming Australian tour, “Well we’re pretty bloody well chuffed to be going back out on the road in Australia!! Here are all the dates!!! 🥳 can’t wait to see you lovely people!!!”
Today’s news comes shortly after Boy & Bear revealed their new video for their third official single, ‘Telescope’. The psych-pop harmony-drenched track is lifted off Boy & Bear’s #4 debuting ARIA Album, Suck on Light with the video directed by film maker Nick Waterman. The video shows a battered boxer in the ring as a metaphor for the gnarly health struggles that Dave has faced in recent years. The video symbolises his strength to overcome them and emerge victorious at the other end.
Dave Hosking says of the new clip, “This clip is ultimately about the triumphs of struggle, with a little bit of tongue in cheek. We loved that idea of being beaten to a pulp but popping out the other end still feeling like a winner!”
Fans in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth were treated to an early taste of their album Suck On Light when in August the 5-piece performed a few songs live during their SOLD OUT ‘Hold Your Nerve Tour’. For their Suck On Life Tour, the expansive live show will include even more songs off the triple j featured album and the tastiest cuts from their previous album releases; Limit Of Love, Harlequin Dream and Award-Winning album Moonfire.
Having just wrapped up their North American shows, Boy & Bear will begin the new year with headline shows throughout the UK and Europe before returning to Australia for The Drop Festival and their National Tour. Full details are below.
