Bring Me The Horizon release video for ‘in the dark’ starring Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker

Bring Me The Horizon

Multi-platinum, Grammy nominated, quintet Bring Me The Horizon have released the official video for single in the dark today.

Written, directed and edited by the band’s frontman Oliver Sykes, the visual stars Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe winning actor Forest Whitaker and sees him undergo Matrix-like brain mapping.

Co-directed and produced by videographer Brian Cox, Oli comments, “’in the dark’ is my first ‘official’ directing effort. We were in the midst of planning to shoot the video with a director in LA, 3 days before the shoot I got a call from Forest saying he was in London and available, so ignoring everyone who said it was impossible to make it happen in time, I called our videographer Brian and asked him if he wanted to help me direct a video. 2 days later we were shooting in London! It was a crazy, emotional few days and I was very lucky to bag an insanely talented crew to assist me.”

The band is currently touring in support of their number one album, amo (RCA), which exploded on both sides of the pond. Its lead track, mantra, earned the band its first-ever Grammy nomination for “Best Rock Song.” Fans can catch Bring Me The Horizon on their headlining “Threesome Tour” before it wraps on October 29 in Miami, FL.

Bring Me The Horizon also have new single Ludens coming, which will be the feature track for Timefall, an album of new music inspired and written for the highly anticipated Kojima Productions video game “Death Stranding”, available on Playstation 4. The single is set for release on November 6.
