Darwin’s metalcore five-piece, Summit, are back with a brand new single “The Good Life” and to accompany, the band is also excited to announce ‘The Good Life Tour’, their first tour of the East Coast, starting November 1 in their hometown and making its way through Brisbane, Central Coast, and multiple dates in Melbourne.
It’s been over a year between releases, but the long awaited new single sees Summit return with a new lineup, a progressed sound and a hunger like never before. Vocalist Matt Greenway highlights that “The Good Life is our best work yet … with the addition of our new drummer [Tom Heffernan] it’s really changed the dynamics in not only our writing but our live performances too. I feel that the chemistry we have is stronger than ever. As you can see from the title, ‘The Good Life’, we are just having the best time together. Everyone is focused and committed and we all just want to create something we are proud of.”
Celebrating the release of their new single, the band will play six shows across Australia. ‘The Good Life Tour’ will kick off in Darwin on Friday 1st November with support from friends in Fat Pigeon, March Of Days and Random Space. The tour will then take the band to Crowbar Brisbane on Thursday November 14 supported by Wildheart, Diskust and Among The Ruined, then to ECP Studios on the Central Coast on Saturday November 16 to play alongside Eviscerate The Crown, Knife Stab and Cultists before jetting off to Sound System Studios in Sunbury on Friday November 22 with Wildheart, Druid and Furious George, Melbourne on Saturday November 23 to play an all ages set at Wrangler Studios keeping Wildheart, Druid and Furious George as supports, and finally the band will play Melbourne’s The Tote Bandroom on Sunday November 24 supported by Wildheart, He Who Seeks Vengeance and Neo-Relic. Since making their live debut at Terrorfest in 2017, Summit have played alongside Polaris, Dream On Dreamer, Tapestry and High Tension to name just a few.
