Fresh from playing with Circles on their recent The Winter tour, Ballarat alt-progressive metal prodigies, Ebonivory hit the road next week for their first ever headline tour in support of their next single, Tales of Termina.
The band have released Tales Of Termina as a single and music video today!
Frontman Charlie Powlett says of the video, “Yet again exploring unfamiliar territory, ‘Tales of Termina’ aims to subvert expectations by juxtaposing seemingly lighthearted visuals against one of our heaviest songs to date.
Filming this music video was a passion project that challenged every member of the band in ways we never expected, with shooting continuing into the early hours of the morning more than once. The final product is something that we all hold close to our hearts as it reflects upon our desires as both a band and individuals to break free from the monotony of everyday life and pursue unexplored territory.
This track was originally an instrumental piece written when I was 17 years old but has since been reworked and assimilated into the new sound of Ebonivory; the addition of vocals providing a completely different tonality that serves to distance it from its metalcore-inspired roots. Releasing this song into the world further solidifies our willingness to take our music as far as it can go despite any obstacles we might face along the way.
With Forrester Savell mastering audio once again (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, Animals as Leaders) and Dave Hunter of CIRCLES providing his expertise in the visual department, ‘Tales of Termina’ encapsulates the true spirit of Ebonivory; plunging ourselves into the deep unknown in hopes of creating something truly unique for everyone to witness.”
The band has carbon offset the video to the value of 9 tonnes of CO2 through
The Gold Standard Foundation.
Going from strength to strength, Ebonivory head out on their first ever Australian headline tour, in support of their new single Tales Of Termina, from next week!
