F.K.Ü. release new single and music video ahead of Testament shows

On Hallows eve in the dark November of 2017 the mighty horror metal moshing machine F.K.Ü. released their latest album ‘1981‘. The decade of 1981-1989 delivered over 200 slasher movies F.K.Ü. decided to pay a special tribute to the main focus year 1981, also known as the ultimate year of the slasher movie genre. In other words, the year that delivered a lot of slashers that is considered the genres best, even today.

Since F.K.Ü. released their latest album, the band have been touring all over Sweden and played at major festivals such as Sweden Rock Festival and Gefle Gas Festival and they’ve also been on tour supporting Entombed A.D. Now they’re preparing for their upcoming European tour starting in Sweden where they will be supporting the major thrash metal band TESTAMENT. But before that, the band will warm up the longing fans by releasing a remastered version of the title track of their latest album, 1981.

The band comments about the single:”The essence of what we wanted to mediate on our latest album, 1981, all summed up in one track, the aptly named title track 1981. With lyrical content like ”Body count classics in an endless row” and ”We need reel violence to spice up the show” it’s the perfect introduction to the rest of the album. Let’s party like it’s 1981!”– F.K.Ü.

The idea with the album, inspired by Corpse Mania, Night School as well as the timeless classics Halloween II and Friday the 13th Part 2is to take the listener back to the old days. Back when you and your friends went to the local video store to rent video cassettes and weren’t able to download your movies from the internet.

The album is critical acclaimed by reviewers and fans all over the world and delivers a horror experience on the same level as those old school slasher classics. So pop the popcorn, call for pizza and bring your friends, this twisted and demented world of knife-wielding maniacs has only just started. Let the body count begin!
