Corrosion Of Conformity is a well-oiled metal machine. If you are a fan of metal, it’s impossible not to like this band. Typically, they would play First Avenue or The Myth in the Twin Cities but tonight they ended up at the Fine Line Music Café. It’s a great venue for live music but typically hosts artists of a much lighter scale. Either way it was fun to see them in a more intimate setting.
The show was sold out with opening bands Crowbar, Weedeater and Mothership. They were the perfect bands to support a full night of metal. COC’s set list included “Diablo Boulevard”, “Vote With A Bullet”, “Paranoid Opioid” and they finished with an encore, “Clean My Wounds”. All in all, it was a great night of music. I’m always surprised when you run across a band that is so great like Corrosion Of Conformity, that they are not more popular than they are. I saw them here once with Metallica and thought they were every bit as good.
It’s early on in the tour so if they’re coming your way and you like metal, get out of your house and go see them.
