For forty years British hard rock legends Whitesnake are rocking hard for their fans, and are not showing any signs of slowing down. Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame inductee and  founding member David Coverdale and the band worked hard on their 13th studio album which is set to be release on May 10th, titled Flesh & Blood and as quite a few songs are being played during this current tour, it must be a hard hitting in your face hard rock masterpiece. The tour is not only for the support of the new album, but a testament of the band’s longevity and perseverance. Needless to say that with only a few tickets left at the box office, the venue here in Southern New Jersey was at capacity.

David Coverdale and his band mates hit the stage with their smash hit Bad Boys, back from their 1987 eight times platinum self titled album. It surely did not sound it’s age, the bands music is timeless. The veterans were performing with great energy, which seemed to eclipse those showed by many, much younger bands these days.

Joel Hoekstra at guitar was providing a spectacle by interacting with the audience, striking poses for photographers and just having an excellent time on guitar. Later on in the show in the middle of new song Shut Up and Kiss Me from the new album, a guitar battle ensued with fellow guitarist Reb Beach. Not sure which one of them won it, but clearly winner here were the audience. Fans were also blessed with a fantastic drum solo, compliments of the bands longtime drummer Tommy Aldridge, who in the midst of it all ditched his sticks and went on to drum with his bare hands.

From the new album Whitesnake played four songs, besides Shut Up and Kiss Me they were Gonna Be Alright, Hey You (You Make Me Rock) and Trouble Is Your Middle Name.

Of course the band played their biggest hits of all time. By the end of the show they played major power ballad hit Is This Love, and finished their regular set with number one hit Here I Go Again.

For the encore the veteran rockers did not make fans wait for too long, and after a very short break they came and blew the venues roof off with their haymaker Still Of The Night. It was one hell of a way to finish of the night.

Whitesnake still have few shows left in North America before they head back to Europe to continue with the Flesh & Blood tour there.
