Melbourne heavy rockers El Colosso have announced a run of new tour dates to launch their new single, round out 2019 and kick off 2020!
The band will also drop the monstrous new single, Down To The Stars on Friday, October 18, the first date of the tour. Listen to a snippet of the track here!
Over the last four years El Colosso have built a formidable reputation as one of the country’s best live bands. Blending huge riffs with infectious hooks to produce a massive sound that not only honours the bands 70s & 90s roots, but also creates a modern heavy rock sound.
The band released their self produced debut long-player Pathways, in 2017 and have developed a loyal following in their hometown headlining shows at nearly all of Melbourne’s world-class rock venues, including The Tote, Cherry Bar, The Evelyn Hotel, The Bendigo Hotel, The Old Bar and The Catfish. El Colosso have also shared stages with several international heavy hitters including Thunder, Seether, Ruins Alone and Voivod.
In 2018 El Colosso embarked on their debut European tour, courtesy of Belgian-based agency Teenage Head Music. An epic run of 22 shows in just 4 weeks that saw them make new fans in Germany, France, Slovakia, Belgium and Spain!
The band’s upcoming second full length is titled Forgotten Ancestors and will be released in 2020 and features artwork by Perth artist Marie Bellinger. It was recorded at Woodstock Studios, Melbourne, with master engineer Richard Stolz (Lamb of God, Superheist, Paul Kelly, Elvis Costello).
Shifting Sands, the first single from Forgotten Ancestors was released in June 2019.
