CANNIBAL CORPSE Unveil Brutal New “Red Before Black” Video, HATE Launches New Single, Seventh Manvantara, EXUMER Launches Video For King’s End, DESTRAGE Launches Video For New Single, Hey, Stranger, VULTURE Launch New Single, Murderous Militia.
The latest visual cut from Cannibal Corpse is from the mind of horror FX veteran Doug Sakmann.
The concept builds upon the world brought to life by Zev Deans in the previously released “Code of the Slashers” video but adds significantly to the visual gore department.
Sakmann shot the concept in Philadelphia, PA and the live footage was captured by Jesse Davis in San Francisco, CA. The video stars adult performers Nadia White and Talia Satana, as well as actresses Sonja Century, Kim Reo, and actor Alex Webster as the final kill of the video.
Watch the brutally beautiful “Red Before Black” now!
“Red Before Black” was edited by Metal Blade’s own Vince Edwards and then meticulously processed by colorist/senior lead flame artist Luc Job (a pioneer in digital imagery for the last 25 years who has worked with directors David Lachapelle, Ridley Scott and Darren Aronofsky and clients like BMW, Dolce & Gabbana) who was all too happy to assist to bring the gratuitous bloodshed and gore to life for Cannibal Corpse
Many words come to mind when you hear the name Cannibal Corpse, but one truly defines the soon-to-be thirty-year death metal veterans: Unstoppable. Produced by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Goatwhore), Red Before Black serves to not only reiterate this but to once more raise the stakes, making it very clear who sets the standard when it comes to always compelling music that is equally brutal and complex. Moreover, the band have pushed themselves again, ensuring that it stands out from their catalog. “Throughout our career we’ve tried to improve the precision of both our musical execution and our album production, while still maintaining full-on aggression. ‘Red Before Black’ continues in that direction, but might go even further on the aggressive side of things. It’s definitely precise, but it has a rawness to it that goes beyond anything we’ve done recently,” asserts bassist Alex Webster. “We really worked super hard crafting these songs, practicing them, and getting them where we wanted to be more so than on any of our previous albums,” adds drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz. “And as Alex said, musically I think it’s the most raw sound we’ve had – and at the same time I think it’s our most focused, tightest and catchiest record.”

Red Before Black is out now!
On June 14th, Hate will release their 11th full-length, Auric Gates of Veles, via Metal Blade Records.
For a preview of Auric Gates of Veles, the band has launched the new single, “Seventh Manvantara”, which can be heard HERE.
Since 1991, Hate have lived up to their name, responsible for some of the angriest and most ruthless death metal unleashed upon the world. With 2017’s Tremendum, they took a step toward a darker, more atmospheric, black metal-oriented style and began exploring Slavonic mysticism, and new album Auric Gates Of Veles boldly continues in that direction. “We wanted to go deeper into the subject, both musically and lyrically,” asserts vocalist/guitarist ATF Sinner. “We also wanted to record a sharper and better defined rhythm section, a more death metal-oriented one. When it comes to guitar sound, it was meant to be a wall of sonic destruction with dark ambient elements in the background.” To say that they achieved that which they set out to create is an understatement, for Auric Gates Of Veles is a titanic record that is both more organic and dynamic sounding, and may well be the finest of their storied career.
With the ominous rumble that heralds the commencement of opener “Seventh Manvantara” giving way to a squall of guitars and blastbeats, it is clear that Hate are playing at the top of their game. Progressing through the rampant thrashing and wide open spaces of “The Volga’s Veins”, the haunting, crushing grooves of the title track, the equally sinister and tragic sounds of “Salve Ignis” and concluding with the raw black metal of closer “Generation Sulphur”, it is a diverse record, not content to rehash the same idea eight times. The centerpiece of the album is arguably the six and a half minute epic thunder of “Sovereign Sanctity”, which demands the full attention of the listener from start to finish. “We wanted the songs to sound like anthems, and ‘Sovereign Sanctity’ is a perfect example of such a song. I think it’s also one of the best we have written in years,” Sinner states.
Last month, legendary multinational thrash metallers Exumer released their fifth full-length, Hostile Defiance, via Metal Blade Records. The album hit the German album charts on position 42 which marks the highest chart entry in the history of the band!
Exumer have now launched a video for their latest hit single, “King’s End“!
The idea behind Exumer’s new video clip “King’s End” is to visually pay homage to the look and visual aesthetics of the MTV/Headbanger’s Ball era clips from the late 80s and early 90s. Especially when CGI became available as a tool to add effects that were otherwise financially impossible to obtain. The clip was entirely shot, edited and directed by Goreminister in Essen (Turock Club)/Germany during Exumer’s last European dates.
Exumer singer Mem V. Stein: “We were approached by our buddy Goreminister, who has his own You Tube channel and is a pretty known character in the Metal scene in and around Essen, if we would be interested in a new video that resembles old Headbanger’s Ball clips. We instantly were on board with the concept and are now excited to launch something that uniquely resembles the early 90s over the top videos we devoured back when Metal was still on Television.”

Last week, Italy’s Destrage released their fifth full-length, The Chosen One, via Metal Blade Records.
Fans can get a taste of The Chosen One now by watching the video for the new single “Hey, Stranger!” (written and directed by the band’s own Matteo Di Gioia) HERE.
Destrage comments: “2019. Superstition tends to take over science, conspiracy over facts, ignorance over information and hatred over tolerance. To talk about one thing, migration is a hot theme today because hey, man is a migratory species. We have the natural tendency to move around.
To those who disagree I ask why would they leave the very room where they were born, because I believe leaving a hospital, crossing the street and entering a park is just like leaving a state, crossing the border and entering another state. Everybody should be able to do that without getting a bullet in the back. In this film, five anti-heroes go on a crusade to stop the invasion, but there is redemption in the end.
Hey, Stranger!”

“We titled our second album ‘Ghastly Waves & Battered Graves’ because it’s catchy, cold and metal as fuck,” Vulture guitarist Stefan Genozider declares succinctly. This is not an overstatement. The follow up to 2017’s cult sensation The Guillotine and their debut release for Metal Blade, the new full-length captures the German crew’s dispensing scathing thrash at a standard that places them toe-to-toe with the best in their genre. It is also a dramatic step forward in terms of songwriting and execution. “With ‘The Guillotine’ we really restricted ourselves to reproducing our debut EP. We wanted it to sound the same, both in the actual music and sound-wise, but we knew that this wouldn’t work a third time, so we sat down and talked about what was missing in what we had come up with so far. From that discussion, the overall goal for our second full-length was to get more variation in our songs, work out more melodic parts and allow ourselves to slow down a little here and there.”
When it came to tracking, Vulture once again joined forces with close friend and producer Marco Brinkmann (Casket, Cross Vault) at Hellforge Studio in Detmold, Germany. “Overall, the album sounds very aggressive and cold, and our producer Marco once again managed to catch exactly what we wanted and mapped out a great mix that fits our music perfectly. There’s a lot of room for all those small accents and hints, but it also sounds very direct, in-your-face-alike, if you will,” says Genozider. With Brinkmanns’ incredibly busy schedule, their only window for recording were ten days in August, which turned out to be during the hottest summer the region had experienced in decades. This obviously made for quite an intense process, but the band was well prepared thanks to the countless hours spent in pre-production and targeted on what they wanted to achieve they managed to finish up a day early. They also tracked a cover of Thin Lizzy’s “Killer On The Loose” to cap off the collection. “Finding a fitting cover isn’t easy but this track just clicks with Vulture,” enthuses Axetinctor. “You have the lyrical theme, the ripping riffs and most importantly it’s a great song by one of our favorite bands.”
