Metal United World Wide returns for a second year with Perth now being added to the world wide event!
Based on the original Metal United Down Under in Australia, MUWW brings together the entire world in one day celebrating all things metal. Last year saw the inaugural event across several continents and numerous countries in a successful day of events hosted by promoters world wide. Perth joins the ranks in bringing together some of the best local bands in the city. Held at the Civic Hotel in Inglewood on June 15th, the lineup features a diverse range of bands which includes: Remission, Hailmary, All This Filth, Icarus Lives, Cage The Hate and Broken Hymns.
Remission are a four-piece modern Thrash metal band from Perth, Western Australia, combining a vast variety of influences to create an unmistakably unique and savage new breed of Thrash. Recently supporting New Zealand rising stars Alien Weaponry and announcing the release of a brand new album “The Tether’s End”, Remission will be continuing their youthful energy and rage closing out this year’s Metal United World Wide.
Hailmary are a world class rock outfit out of Perth that delivers intricate slabs of grungey rock that packs a punch and soothes the soul. Having toured internationally including Europe and the US and supporting Ugly Kid Joe in the UK and extensively hitting the road in Australia with the likes of Superheist and Fuel, Hailmary have earned a reputation as being one of the countries hardest working bands. With their latest release “Evolve Dissolve” featuring some of their heaviest work to date, these guys are one not to miss.
To the uninitiated, All This Filth are a Metal band from Perth who blend many different Metal and heavy sub genres including Groove Metal, Thrash, Hardcore, Death Metal, Industrial Metal and even hints of Sludge and Nu-Metal to create a unique blend of aggressive fury. Their latest release “Misery Season” which was launched at Hornography in March has been dubbed their strongest work yet and are set to showcase many of the new songs at the show.
Perth based Female Fronted Melodic Metal band Icarus Lives have had a bolstering 2018, opening for heavy metal royalty Pain and hitting the road in Japan with The Agonist and Cellar Darling, signing onto Hard Drive Agency full time upon their return from overseas. With their debut album “Vantablack” out now, the band are set to go even further in 2019 and will be one of the highlights to catch at Metal United World Wide.
Coming in to take over the second spot for the night is newcomers Cage The Hate and their brand of unadulterated Aussie heavy metal. Prepare yourselves for some early headbanging!
Broken Hymns are a 5 piece desert rock act with an injection of prog taking influences from such bands as Tool, Mastodon and Deftones to deliver a unique and smooth style of heavy but catchy riff laden music. The young group will be opening Metal United World Wide to kick the festivities off for the night.
