~ In Fire & Hell ~ Jeff Becerra & POSSESSED

Revelations Of Oblivion was recorded at NRG studios and Titan Studios with Jeff Becerra as executive producer and Daniel Gonzalez as co-producer for the album. Mixing and mastering was handled by Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY, PAIN, BLOODBATH) at Abyss Studios in Sweden. For the artwork, the band enlisted Polish artist Zbigniew Bielak (PARADISE LOST, DIMMU BORGIR, DEICIDE, GHOST, GORGUTS) to create a piece that brought back the notion of true fear that was once associated with the idea of evil.

“Working with Peter was a fantastic experience. We put a great deal of thought into who we wanted to produce our new album. Since we hadn’t made an all-new material release in well over 30 years, it was essential that we found the right person. Peter’s name kept coming up over and over, and after speaking with my bandmates they all really liked Peter as he is more organic, and somebody we felt would fit in well with our process.”

Eluveitie

Swiss folk metal stars ELUVEITIE are going to release their new studio album Ategnatos on April 5th 2019 via Nuclear Blast. Today, the band proudly present a brand new single “Ambiramus”.

The song can be heard and watched in the form of a music video over on YouTube. The music video was produced by the Polish company Grupa13 in January 2019 and can be seen here.

Chrigel Glanzmann states: “Here you go – the next single off our upcoming album: AMBIRAMUS!
It’s definitely one of the most exceptional songs from our discography! AMBIRAMUS comes in quite groovy and with a light-hearted, yet racing folk reel in the chorus and a very accessible overall appearance; easily the brightest song we’ve ever written. Yet at the same time it goes to where the actual magic of traditional Celtic folk music exists: a place where cheerfulness and melancholy, hardship and hope, glee and deep mysticism meet to become one! And this deep, wistful yet hopefull mysticism is also found in the song’s lyrics, which will take you to the very core of the Celtic mythology the album contemplates. AMBIRAMUS (gaulish for “Voyage”) is based on a late Celtic literary tradition – the so-called Immrama tales.  AMBIRAMUS is the last song we wrote for the album and it’s probably the result of and a testimony to the very inspiring and creative atmosphere, in which we created ATEGNATOS! The song basically ‘fell into place’ after Alain finished the drum tracking, and it was written and arranged in just a few hours. We hope you enjoy it!”

Avantasia

After triumphantly storming the worldwide charts with new album Moonglow, TOBIAS SAMMET‘s AVANTASIA are premiering an official lyric video for the track ‘Alchemy’, which features the distinctive vocals of ex-Queensrÿche singer Geoff Tate.

Watch the new lyric video for ‘Alchemy’.

TOBIAS SAMMET comments: “When I wrote ‘Alchemy’ I had no one but Geoff Tate in mind. He is one of the most influential singers in the history of Melodic Metal and I have always adored albums like QUEENSRYCHE’s ‘Rage For Order’ and ‘Operation Mindcrime’. And that type of singing was exactly what I imagined to hear in AVANTASIA. When we were in the studio there was magic in the air, Geoff delivered and even though thousands of singers have been inspired by him, there is only one Geoff Tate. What a great addition to the AVANTASIA family. I can‘t wait to travel around the globe with Geoff and the team in a couple of days.”
