Perth KISS fans were left heartbroken when the US rock icons postponed their Perth show then subsequently cancelled their Australian tour altogether.
None more heartbroken than Perth tribute band KISStake, a faithful and fun salute to ‘the hottest band in the word’ who have been stomping on WA stages in full make-up, costumes and platform boots since 2003. So, with KISS fans inundating the band’s Facebook page asking about the possibility of a show to soothe the pain of the tour cancellation, KISStake are booting up for a licensed, kid-friendly show at the Rosemount Hotel on Sunday, December 8.
“It’s certainly a make-up show in more ways than one,” says KISStake’s resident Starchild, Bob Gordon. “I think the chances are strong that the KISS End Of The Road tour will make its way back here, but in the uncertain meantime, let’s celebrate all the good times they’ve given us… just in time for KISSmas.”
Supporting KISStake at this special show will be local up-and-coming original rockers, Winterfold, who formed earlier this year and have already impressed with performances at Mojos, YMCA HQ and The Garage.
Doors open at 4pm at the Rosemount on Sunday, December 8. Pre-sale tickets are now available from oztix.com.au for $15 plus booking fee, with a special price of $10 for KISS End of the Road ticket holders. Entry at the door is $20 ($15 for KISS EOTR ticket holders).
U/18s are welcome but must be accompanied by a legal guardian who also has a valid ticket. (Venue policy is 1 underage person per supervising adult).
Kids under 12-years-old can gain free entry provided they are accompanied by their legal guardian who has a valid ticket.
‘You wanted the best? Well, you’ve got the rest. The nottest band in the world… KISStake!’
