Having shared the stage with Mötley Crüe and Alice Cooper, Perth four-piece Amberdown are capable of holding their own next to rock’s biggest icons. Imaginative, confident and stunningly precise, their music takes searing vocal melodies and wraps them in layers of highly intense music that can shift from ethereal to crushingly heavy in the blink of an eye. After a run of successful singles and EPs, Amberdown have now unleashed their first full-length album – the highly-anticipated Four Years – on which they strive to new heights in realising their grand artistic vision.
The first taste of the magnum opus came with the ridiculously catchy single Hole in the Flaw, which set the tone for the whole album with its blitzkrieg of riffs, rhythms and anthemic vocals. Current single Lifeless brings more of these elements, threading graceful moments through a tapestry of sheer heaviness… every aspect of Amberdown’s signature sound, condensed into one ferocious composition.
