California’s greatest export and professional life coaches Steel Panther are celebrating the release of their new album the only way they know how; with a full-on sensory overload as only the Panther can. The band has released a video for the song “Fuck Everybody” from their latest release. The “not quite 3D” clip was premiered at the band’s record release party in NYC earlier this week and shot to over 100K views in days. The song comes from their *now available everywhere* latest album, Heavy Metal Rules, which is out today worldwide!
“This is the record you put on when you’re getting ready to go out and party. This is the record you put on when you’ve had a bad day at work. This is the record you put on when you wanna practice making babies. This is the record you ALWAYS just put on. Why? Because….HEAVY METAL RULES,” explains Steel Panther.
As for what people are saying about the tracks on the album, Wall of Sound says that “They’re all anthemic, with a catchy chorus and scandalous lyrics, and of course some killer riffs.”, The AU Review asked the question – “Who amongst us hasn’t wanted to raise their glass and sing “Fuck Everybody” once in a while? You’re probably not going to have it on in the car…but a few tinnies deep with your mates in the back yard at 2am? Come on guys, answer honestly!”, and Hysteria Mag gave them props for their chops – “Steel Panther’s actual musical cred is often overlooked in all the din surrounding their lyrics, but no band could keep up this kind of charade if they weren’t A-grade players. Not only can they write hooks like nobody’s business—the type that force you to sing along to their silly, non-PC choruses even if you don’t want to—they craft great riffs and melodies.”
To celebrate the release of the new album, Steel Panther had a record release event at St Vitus bar in Brooklyn, NY. The event featured a playback of the entire album for fans, a stand-up comedy set by former That Metal Show host Jim Florentine, and then a Q&A with the band moderated by Florentine. Longtime friends from Alter Bridge Mark Tremonti and Scott Phillips were also in attendance. The entire event was captured by Revolver and the video from the evening can be seen here.
For the uninitiated, Steel Panther was formed in 2000 and is comprised of Michael Starr (lead singer), Satchel (guitarist), Lexxi Foxx (bass) and Stix Zadinia (drums). Hailing from Los Angeles, the epicenter for rock n’ roll in all its debauchery and glamour, Steel Panther has established themselves as the world’s premier party band, melding hard rock virtuosity with parody and criminally good looks. Steel Panther is a global phenomenon with four full-length albums, touring across the world, platinum-level You Tube status and high-profile television appearances such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, Larry King Now, and FOX NFL Sunday.
Steel Panther’s Heavy Metal Rules is out now, containing the singles “All I wanna do (is f*ck myself tonight”, “Always Gonna Be a Ho”, “Gods of Pussy” and “F*ck Everybody” is out now worldwide at https://lnk.to/HeavyMetalRules.
